Ted just did a video comparing the Bobcat and Wildcat. 😯 His conclusion was the Bobcat’s days are numbered with the Wildcat.

No one in their right mind would buy a new Impact until it is debugged given Fred’s record on introductions.

with Ted… Im not a Ted hater but its clear with these little videos that have popped up that he is clearly under the arms of AOA and or FX. I believe that is the reason he has not posted to much in the past year and I don’t see him doing a true review any time soon. Honestly, he just needs to stick with hunting and technique videos and stay out of the review arena.

With the slayer being Toms baby we will see if he give any review on it. He is in a little pickle being a competitor in the air rifle industry. Yeah he is making big bores now but plans to have small bore out by 2016. Politics & Business mixing… lol have fun… can’t wait!!

i croos my fingers to see a complet review rapidly!!
we need to have more infos about prices(optional barrel+magazine, etc etc)

Probably. A good writer/director, less so Actor 🙂

A review done by Fredrik Axelsson would probably be less biased than Ted’s unbiased reviews. 😉

I thought Fredrick wrote the manuscripts for Ted’s unbiased reviews? You mean Fredrick is a poor actor and forgets his lines?

Yeah, right 🙂

Tom (AmericanAirArms) just won a Impact .30 at the EBR,….we should get a real fair review from him :winkn:

I hope it will shoot well I had a .30 caliber Bobcat that shot very well to about 75 yards. After that I would not hold sub MOA. Many of my fellow shooters just blamed the .30 cal pellet gun as just being inferior because the length was too short as compared to the width. This makes for a very poor drag coefficient. I believed that to be true until I purchased an EDgun .30. This gun can hold 1/2 MOA at 100 yards all day. So now I question the ability of a smooth twist barrel in the 7.62. Maybe the ROT was too fast and FX has fixed that. None the less I will proceed with caution on any large caliber FX. As far as the super soaker goes, how the gun holds is really important. The bottle on the front may feel good or it could be too bulky. I can travel with any gun, it’s not like we’re talking moving pianos. Does the Impact power wheel work like other FX rifles? I assume you set the regulator for the caliber then adjust the power wheel from there?

If you get an Impact I hope you take the time to post information about it here I haven’t ruled it out 100% but I will be traveling to Acton soon to look at the AAA. I have time either way to decide.

Thanks

I don’t know if you are thinking that maybe I’m to get a Impact, in case that sentence was directed at me…….No, I have no intention of getting a Impact,
I was talking to Frederik months ago and he mentioned he would send me a .30 for review,
However since than Michael (AOA) and I had a big falling out following a disagrement in way of looking at things, so, as those guys are really tight to FX I’m not expecting a Impact to make it my way anymore 😀 😀 😀 😀

Thumbs up Manny. We have enough clowns telling us what the retailer or manufacturer dictates. It’s good to have honest people out there as well.

Well that is bad news Manny. I thought you’d be getting one. Tom told me he sent you a 357 for review because you had a history of being brutally honest. I am at the point now where I believe very little what is written on airgun forums. The good thing is I live in CA so I can meet the maker AAA in person.

It is worth noting that with .30 ST barrel you tie yourself to two types of JSB pellets. Of those some batches seem to work while others spread all over.

I believe there’s a reason why that Impact group was shot with .25 King Heavies, according to Yrrah they have better BC than .30 pellets producing 1/2″ groups at 100y with BSA barrels.

It was interesting to see that the regulator (and thus the valve) is located at the rear of the gun while hammer system seems to be in the middle. That would point to some sort of a rod system being used to open the valve. Lots of new stuff in this gun, I hope it all has gone through proper testing prior to release.

First video I found of FX Impact being shot
