I do not have anything that I can share at this time. It came up in the course of a conversation that due to the guns build, that it may be possible to put a nice piece of wood on it – but will not really know anything until the actual release of the action from production. I purchase everything I want to play with just like everyone/anyone else. Or, build it myself 😉
Dave, do you have a source link to share? What fun things might you add? 🙂
Darryl
The Impact is one that has my attention also. Due right around my birthday, so I may have a good reason to get one 😉 I hear rumor that with it’s build, that there may be a way for me to have some fun adding to it, but will have to wait till they make it out of production to find out for sure…
hi Dave,
Welcome to TAG. :smilen: Thanks for the information. Nice to budget for such things. I’d love to own a caliber-versatile PCP with the features of the Impact. I’m waiting on field reports, of course.

pretty sure the price has been set at $1850 for the base model, with a higher price on the boxed(hard case with fitted foam) set with caliber change, and scope, etc…
JSBs, eh? Well that’s good enough for me. Can the same be said of the Impact? (I can’t wait to read field tests of this one). Will you be able to find out the price of the Impact for the US market?
darryl
Nope! They specified it for JSB’s.
Ville, that’s a great start for any product; no issues to report. I wonder if anyone is having issues with this new model. I certainly hope not. Everyone loves a winner, and the Vulcan appears to be that. I don’t suppose you know what pellet AGN spec’d it’s barrels with? Crosman Premiers? :fishing:
have fun with your testing!
Darryl
Yes, i do : AGN , the maker of Vulcan. 🙂 They have their specs and differ from ie Cricket barrels.
And no, not a single issue. Nothing.
Ville, I’m sure you’ll make it a fair contest. So the Vulcan had n o issues in the time you’ve had it? Impressive for a gun new to the market. Wow! LCZ, and FX and LW barrels in a three-way match. Since we know FX makes it’s own barrels, and ED custom-specifies his Edgun LW barrels, do you know if any airgun manufacturers using CZ barrels have them custom specified for their airguns?

PS Ville, I hope you can come away with a clear idea of which is the best performer. Is the Vulcan that formidable of a performer (out of the box)?
Let’s put it this way : every time i get a new gun i take it into bits, check that every bolt and nut is correctly tightened and i clean the internals of the (always) more or less excessive grease. On my Volcano everything was correctly tightened and there was no excess grease to talk abot.
I just buttoned it all up, cleaned the MARVELLOUS (like Jan just mentioned above) CZ barrel , adjusted the trigger and started shooting. That was it so i’d say pretty solid performer from the get-go, out of the box.
I’ll let you all in what happens when it’s time for the Impact v Vulcan shootout. That will be a fun day. Fredrik is a nice guy and knows a thing or two about airguns so it will be a good experience for a mere Layman like me.
He better have the Impact and WC ready for the challenge though since the Vulcan will be a tough opponent – to any gun.
I can only make a fair decision after i’ve seen things myself but i let the ST bashing low untill that.
If it can keep up with the AW i can say it’s comparable to that one. If it can , which i’m pretty sure it can’t but IF, keep up with the Vulcan i need to revaluate my thinking.
Sir Ville, about the FX Impact testing, can you give an assessment of the gun using the criteria: “if I could only have one PCP could the FX Impact be versatile enough to be an end-all_do-all PCP? I’m thinking the Impact might be configurable to meet broader shooting applications. I rarely have a chance to shoot beyond 30 yards, but when I do I can shoot past 100 yards. .177 might be good out to 50 yards (with me on the trigger). I don’t think I’d shoot a .30 in my basement, but out to 100 yards, yeah! If the power could be repeatedly reliably adjusted I’d buy the FX Impact in .177 and buy the kit to step up to .25 for field shooting out past 50 yards. That would be the end-all_do-all PCP Bull pup for me until maybe also semi-automatic. BTW how long does it take to swap a barrel on the Impact? What’s involved to go from a .30 barrel to a .177 barrel? If both were zeroed, prior, how easy is it to reset the power level for each barrel change? is that a factor in the change-over process?
Someone will make bull pup PCP that’s a semi (and eventually full auto) that’s a side-bolt cock-er and can switch barrels and bolts in 60 seconds then give sub-MOA accuracy (in any caliber). I expect it will be followed by a magazine auto-refill contraption that can load 1000 pellets an hour without being monitored with a 5000-round capacity. Then again I wouldn’t want to hump all that pellet weight in the woods!
Barkeep! Give me another! :18:
This all so exciting! I can hardly wait!!

Concerning barrels…
Depending on the comments/reviews it looks like the CZ barrels have currently the lead…..
I remember when BSA barrels were ruling….
You still can see those “BSA Lonestars” (no longer in production) being at the highest ranks in competitions…
Will be interesting to see how those FX ST perform….
Thanks Ville in advance for keeping us posted …. 😀
