Some of the older models too (pre-Beluga time) . I know Tobbe ,the owner of Hurricane Airguns.

That´s exactly why i like this Forum too. No nonsense and come as you are. Now – i´ve always been against FX solely because it´s priced as a high-end gun over there. I have ordered an Impact and i´ll collect it from the FX factory when it´s due delivery-. Fredrik himself called me the other day and wanted to discuss barrels (ST vs LW and so on) and i´m on the very verge to believe him. Remains to be seen when i go to collect my Impact from the Factory directly.

Good luck Ville. Wring it out! Care to share any of Fredrik’s commentary on barrels with this forum? What makes his case so believable to you? Did it make you wonder why Ed spec’d an LW barrel? :winkn:

Long story. I want to see the claims with my own eyes though. I’ll take the Vulcan and Air Wolf with me for comparison.
I can only make a fair decision after i’ve seen things myself but i let the ST bashing low untill that.
If it can keep up with the AW i can say it’s comparable to that one. If it can , which i’m pretty sure it can’t but IF, keep up with the Vulcan i need to revaluate my thinking.

.22 barrel for backyard stuff and .30 barrel for hunting

those would be my choices,…I just love how you can pack that gun in a small unit.

dang, I want one 177 and 25 cal to start with and I’ll crown it’s noggin with a MTC Viper Connect.

I’ll hold off on the T-shirts for now. I want to know what the Impact is capable of. BTW AoA has demo models of the .22 FX cutlass in Walnut, with two magazines for $990.00 USD
(I had to edit my spelling to “T-shirts” from “T_shorts” so as to eliminate any unintended damage to the other Darryl’s reputation. tahnks for the save,Larry!

Ville, thanks for your brief description the workings of the Vulcan. I hope you (or somebody) soon get a chance to get at the Impact. I appreciate the no-nonsense clear manner of speaking which this forum talks about airguns.

It is indeed spring loaded BUT not the cheap FX way. Besides that it works very well. I had my doubts about it to begin with (as stated earlier) but i have learned the loading process and after more than 1000 Pellets without a hick-up i believe it´s a well made and well functioning mag.
I like the fact it tells you when the mag is empty – and the fact you can stop the mag indexing too.

Impact in .177 to start. If the gun can shoot the heavier pellets well in that caliber; at least 10.65grains. Be nice if it cold handle the 13.4 grain JSB Monster. That pellet needs close to 900 fps to fly truest. Choosing another caliber will have to wait until I see maximum power in other calibers. There are several things I wonder about concerning the Impact. Eagerly waiting for field-test news. Will this one be worth spending weekends selling blood and collecting empty beer cans from the highway? 😀

PS Ville, I can’t fairly quantify my opinion as I’ve only owned the HB. I haven’t handled a Vulcan. I did think of the cocking motion of the HB to be slightly more direct than what I’ve seen in videos of cocking the Vulcan. A small thing really. How does the Vulcan index it’s magazine? Spring-loaded? :biggrinn:

.177 and .25 for me.

can I have the FX Impact in bright Ferrari Red with a few lines of fine black?
