quote ElmerFudd:

Personally I think the damage has been done to your name brand and speaks volume regarding your business style. It would be a shocking turn of events if you decided to uphold any pre-order prices but I think many won’t hold our breath for that to happen. I kind of feel bad for Tony as well since you suddenly had a change of heart and made him the scapegoat by adding on to his shipping cost. Now he’s probably stuck with inventory that he might sit on for a while.

I wouldn’t feel bad for anyone. There was no scapegoat, just two business people who decided not to honor the expected price. Either Ed or Tony could make it right but both have chosen not to. They could have said, “I’m sorry we screwed up royally by not delivering even remotely on time” or “I’m sorry we didn’t communicate that there would be an additional shipping charge months ago when we knew this was going to happen” or “From this point forward, there will be an additional $100 charge per gun but we’ll make it right this time”

Instead they’ve said “$100 is more important to us than our integrity, our brand and our reputation. Don’t like it? Don’t buy our guns. How about a t-shirt?”

Ed I’d be happy with the original plans where we placed deposits to reserve our products. Delays happen but I feel that’s part of business and should always keep customers happy. At the end it’s your decision. I’ll pass on the clothing, thanks.

I am out of possibility to use normal internet, so cannot join the forum in a proper manner. I still think about what has happened. Would you guys, who has place the deposit to Tony and then found out Tony has to increase the price consider as I gesture of my appologize for what’s happened some presents from me? If yeas, I would be happy to send you some EDgun cloth. To fit it proper I would really appretiate if you would send Tony your size of the garment you wear. I do hope that would smooth the unpleasant event, that’s happened.

With the best regards

Ed

Ed, no offense but you’re offering us some tee-shirts instead of $100? For those that had their Lelyas held hostage but will purchase it anyways, that’s a good gesture. For others who after a year long wait decided to part ways with our pre-order, we get nothing out of your offer correct?

Lesson learned, if you or your resellers offer an Edgun at a certain price, please be cognitive and actually honor that price. Otherwise don’t make silly price announcements to drum up sales if it ain’t happening.

whats the largest size available?

My Lelya is a .25 cal. I got the manual and originally posted that it didn’t come with a fill prob and orings but I found them buried in the box – stated above.

quote Serdac:

I got mine in yesterday. I’m in FL so it got here pretty fast. .25 cal, serial 0098. No fill probe or spare orings like other airguns, no worries though. For some reason I thought these were coming with the new style LDC I read about? No accuracy or shot count tests yet. Quality piece.

Something isn’t right with your order. I received my order with manual, fill probe and o-rings. I’ll update shorty 😀

Anyone get a Lelya .25 yet?

No real numbers or accuracy testing, I got it and had to jump on a flight a few hours later and will be gon for a couple of weeks. I just test shot it into the ground a few times with the air that came in the tube. The price was a bit steep but it’s a quality toy with nice grain. I usually buy, try and flip often. I’ll play with it for a bit and if I like it I’ll keep it.

quote SECoda:

Wait a second. Now it is ok to print .25 cal on them? 😀 Interesting. Even my .30 cal standard says .22. Now it is really quiet.

That was changed over a year ago, all new EDguns are properly marked

If you’re at peace with the price you paid, you should be happy. That’s a very nice piece of walnut you got! I can’t imagine a Lelya .25 to be backyard friendly even with the eccentric moderator since it’s the same length as other calibers. How many “real world” shots are you getting on a fill?

Very nice, enjoy

Not even interested in one anymore. :butkick:

Yes the Lelya, Tony is about 4 hours from me and it arrived in a day in a half via UPS Ground. I did find the fill prob and orings (1000 pardons to Tony and Edgun) they were packed way in there. This is my first Edgun so I may have been mistaken about the LDC, I just thought I was going to be a bit bigger. I shot a few shots into the grass and it’s not quiet, reminds me of my old Vulcan. Either way its a quality product.

Can you post a pic? You’re talking about a Lelya right? I’m surprise it doesn’t come with a fill probe. A fill probe probably cost the manufacturer $2-3 to make. If this was your only Edgun, that would be an issue. I’m really curious if yours came without the eccentric moderator unless I’m reading your post wrong.
