Liked the idea of a big .58…..Then I decided to sell the .308
Nothing like your insinuating.
Whatever you say Seth.
Had it 8 months.

Especially if you don’t know the facts.
I said you never demonstrated the performance of your gun, and that you put it up for sale. All true. Didn’t know if yours sold or not, so I corrected my post to say that you tried to sell it.
Glad you are happy with your .58
All righty.
I didn’t sell my .308 Haley.
I did take it to LASSO and it was for sale there…..AFTER seeing and shooting a Haley .58 I had to have one.
Jack actually took my .308 and converted it to a very nice .58
Couldn’t be happier.
I had a test gun in .58 Haley
Took two deer with it.
Best target I could find.
I do occasionally step away from the keyboard and hunt.
I don’t post a bunch of numbers or groups on any of my guns …….don’t have time.
If you have a problem with your gun send it back to Jack.
Don’t speak for me.
Especially if you don’t know the facts.
But they did reply…………..when they said “for sale”.
LOL. Wok, you da man
Your Welcome 😀
You see, this is one thing that keeps me coming back to the TAG. You guys can accept criticism and keep and open mind and this forum definitely has a “ROUGH EDGE” to it. Thats a good thing…lol. I can say what i want here (with in reason) and you guys either listen or tell me to take a hike. But the one thing you don’t do is protect the GUILTY or BAN ME because i warned a few folks or two.
I simply could not or can not post my above reply on any other forum.
And yes Butcher, i did notice that the key guys in the Big Bore world quickly sold their one of a kind HALEYS without so much as a peep about them besides..”got my new JH today, will post results tomorrow”. Remember when i asked Seth and Eric Henderson to post something current on the JH gun……….WITH NO REPLY BACK….lol.
As aforementioned, I respect the opinions of most members here. I have found this forum to be a vast resource in my ongoing airgun education. I own a relatively new JH .457 and prior to this post I was ignorant that problems existed on some earlier guns. I would like to be optimistic in thinking that Jack would be humble enough to admit his shortcomings but 44 years on this earth have taught me that most men are not!
I respect Cedric’s word. He has taken much time to personally help sort out many different questions on many different airguns. I believe objectivity is key in any oppositional argument. That being said, soon I will open mine up to see what is inside. I hope what I find is pleasing but if I find something disturbing, I am more than confident I can count on many men here to guide me in the proper direction thereby helping me understand yet another one of my many airgun purchases: from the inside to the outside…as it should be!
I find this to be the funniest thing ever. I’d just as well have you tune ANY of my guns as anyone out there. I’ve seen what you’ve done on the big bores, the Lonestar, and many others.
I guess you didn’t notice the Haleys that Eric Henderson, Redd, and Seth/BHD to name but a few sold, (EDIT or tried to sell) after having owned but a short time (without ever having displayed their performance)? Doesn’t show-up to readily on a search engine though.
I think it is because of situations like these, that the Yellow Forum Dealer BOI will no longer accept any positive feedback, only negative.
Also, one of the videos I have was not from Tofazfou. It was from a guy that was fiercely bitching Tofaz out for saying the Haley rifles needed work. He was defending his very charming new friend Reba, and was acting on emotion (if you have ever spoken with Reba, this is somewhat understandable as she is an adorable gal to speak with). He felt like a damn FOOL for what he had said to Tofazfou when he received his own Haley rifle, and made a video of what he got that speaks volumes.
OK GUYS,
RJ-PORTER….ok ok ok, Butcher might not have a tons of gun like some of us, but when he speaks, it has come from either research on his own part or tons of pics and video THAT I OR SOMEONE ELSE SENT HIM.
The guy that JERRY and ROB3DR and BUTCHER are talking about is ME. When i posted on Randy Mitchells Forum last Christmas (i got my JH 457), i simply said that my gun or shall i say, “JACKS GUNS” need a little work”. Well, people got all worked up about a gun that i had and ONE THEY DID NOT YET OWN. But they were telling me and the world how “GREAT” jacks guns were and how little i knew about TUNING and air guns. One guy said “i lost respect for you TOFAZ, i thought you knew what you were talking about all these years when you talked about air gun tuning. Now i see you don’t”. And he did not even have a haley (he said it)…..LOL…..”OMG people, get your heads outta your asses. These are just BB GUNS and you owe the BUILDERS nothing if they MAKE CRAP and sell it too you FULL PRICE”….is what i was thinking.
What i see on one MAIN forum about big bores is ALL OUT NUMBERS on FPE but never pics of groups. What that tells me is, the gun is not accurate and that HIGH FPE number is probably exaggerated or, its the highest FPE number they’ve ever gotten outta that gun. Then they never talk about them guns again. That sais something to me. I talk about my haley all the time and show pics and video of it. Even though i had some issues.
The only B.B. forum that i’ve seen that post TOTAL performance of their guns is Gary Barnes forum. Like his guns or not, can afford his guns or not, he post about the building process, the accuracy of the gun and the chrony numbers and pics or video of the groups and the guns performance. Can’t ask for more than that.
You see, i own 2 Haleys. A 32 and a 45. I almost cried when i got my 32 a couple years ago (rob has seen the pics of the internals). The whole gun was RUSTED on the inside but CLEAN ASS hell on the outside. the gun was PURDY for sure. Now, i don’t just talk what i DON”T KNOW, i talk what i do know and i have tons of pics to PROVE my shit.
As of that day, i no longer offer TRUTH FULL advice on anything CRAPPY i own. I get a bad name for telling the truth and the bad guy collects your money and gains fame. So, i keep my mouth shut. I was asked, “why would you post that on the forum and not just contact them to fix you gun to your standards?” I laughed as hard as i could and simply replied, “if the gun is this bad, why in the hell do i expect them to do better the next time? And i gotta send em the gun back for 2-3 weeks and pay for it only to have it come back in the same exact bad shape it came to me in?”
I still post videos of my outings with my JH457. They gun was accurate when first got it, and still is today. But the overall performance is 10 fold. I took the gun from 350 FPE to a NOW 500 FPE gun. The gun was supposed to be 440 FPE from JH himself but came up 90 FPE short. Jack and Reba also called me a liar. But my BEFORE and AFTER pics/video proves them wrong and so did my video of me chronying the gun. I LOVE my haley NOW but did not then. I am not tooting my own horn.
SO you see, you will quickly learn that most folks on the NET only TALK what they hear and not what they know. They will defend what they HERE is a good thing and will never seek the truth. I’m not saying ALL of JACKS guns are rusty and all the holes are drilled off center or is drilled by hand and not on a machine and the stocks are crooked and inletted poorly (me and my buddy pauls guns were for sure). But if your gun shoots great and you’ve taken yours apart and its all good on the inside then, you are a lucky one.
Sorry for the rant but i am still just a touch sore about this topic. Not talking about anyone here but, its still amazing to me how many folks on the NET are blind.
also when i was looking for a used Haley to buy i did a search on the yellow and everywhere else i couldnt find any for sale so i guess ppl wanted to keep what they had
my chrony is set 15feet from the muzzle and no were not talking about the same ppl and also the pics that r shown r from back when they were using QB tubes not the new tubes so maby that will tell u how long ago they were taken either way i just feel ppl shouldnt be badmouthing something they dont have in hand till they have one themselves like my shoebox im content with it even though i had some issues with it doesent mean im gonna get on here and badmouth tomkaye for it i mean shit happens

Seth,
I assumed also Seth, i openely asked you about your haley and you had only shot it at a kitchen appliance but had not scoped it. You said you would post more on it once you got it scoped and never did. And yes, although you are very busy, you never mentioned that gun again but had gone out on other ADVENTURES. Erik got his one of a kind pistol and mentioned that he got it, but never talked about his performance. While you guys worlds don’t revolve around me and my questions, it just seemed very suspicious that you 2 never talked about those guns again. Whether you sold your gun or traded it for another gun does not matter to me. You guys simply never mentioned those guns again but had been on other adventures with other guns. So to me, that meant something negative. Yes, i did assume as so many of us do. But i also asked for more info and never got it so………………..?????
Jack and nice simply don’t go hand in hand. Just look at the link on this first page of this post. You can not in all your hog killin or bullet selling, “JUSTIFY” that quality of work. Guys always say NICE when they are talking about what the gun looks like on the outside. That means nothing when the inside is rusty and nothing lines up…blah blah blah blah. My Corsair is a WELL made gun. The gun is very nice and I can find no flaws in the machine work. Can not say the same about my other two big bores. My Corsair and my DS are very well made big bores from the factory/DIY builder. Is my HALEY 32 and 45 accurate? Yes, but that is all barrel manufacturing which i think is from GREEN MOUNTAIN. So i give them credit for that.
To kill a hog or deer has nothing to do with a well built gun. If the gun is at least DECENTLY ACCURATE it can hit a hog at 35-50 yrds ANYWHERE on the body and kill him. It does not take TONS AND TONS of FPE to kill a hog or deer. My 250 FPE DS454 proves that over and over again on VIDEO. And when people hear that, they think, “WOW, that so and so gun sure is accurate cause it killed a hog or deer”. Well, how do they know that? They don’t, they assume cause you forget to say, “Well, i was aiming for the HEAD but hit them in the Heart, or when i got to my hunting grounds the gun all of a sudden sprung a leak and luckily another guy had some spare o-rings…blah blah blah. Again, not saying that is what you said but, i’m simply talking out loud about how things can get misconstrued when simple words or phrases are left out. Or if someone sais, “man, this is the best big bore in the WORLD”. See how saying that can cause folks all over the world to buy that product even though no one had done a complete review of said product.
Also, there is always a lack of “FOLLOW THROUGH” info on big bore forums. All folks talk about is FPE and going to 58 caliber thats it. And i’m smart enough unlike most folks to know that if ANYBODY post that a gun makes 1000 FPE, everybody will come outta the wood works to buy that gun even though they know nothing about the builder and his ethics or how the gun shoots or the quality of the gun. 1000 FPE means nothing to me but power. It should also be a very well made gun inside and out especially if im paying 750-1200-2000 bucks for it. Could i have sent my gun back and got my MONEY? Hell yeah, but i chose not to. I can do my own work and i don’t trust someone the 2nd time when i label them a hack the 1st time.
Strong words from me but i stand by em. People are being cheated and even though its not my job to save em, it pisses me off that its happening.
