1st Rogue in…….NOT GOOD
If you haven’t seen it over on the Yellow, the 1st Rogue experience is not a good one.
I have to say that even today, i am still amazed at how folks will DEFEND a gun that doesn’t shoot well and its manufacturer. Were is the FIGHT in all of us anymore? Everyone is telling the guy to send the gun back to Crosman and Crosman will make it right. Am i the only IDIOT who still beieves in the simple principle that if they don’t get it right the first time then why give them a second one. For 1300-1500 bucks, 25 bucks for 25 bullets, and a shit load of HYPE, if i got results like what that guy got, Crosman would receive a RETURN package from me alright, but my Rogue would not be in it…lol. It just amazes me how folks get crap and all anyone can say is, “they’ll do you right, send it back”. It cost time and money to ship a gun “ONCE PAID FOR” back for repairs or service that it SHOULD NOT NEED in the first place. Trust me, i know that if i DO NOT know how to work on airguns, then i have no choice but to return it but this is simply BULLSHIT.
I guess my attitude comes from having one too many AIRguns that cost a ton of money have issues from the jump. BB guns simply COST waaayyy to fucking much money for what they are and for the problems they have to exist when NEW.

Thanx for the manual SYNOP. I’ll download that puppy for future references like i do all manual.
Well, even looking at the pic of the gun, the shroud looks hella simple like on the MROD. I’m sure you can either unscrew it or loosen the bolt in the receiver nearest the air tube. Or you have to loosen the barrel band then unscrew the shroud. I was amazed at how quickly and easily the shroud on the MROD came off. It literally took 1 minute to do it (thanx STEVEnLA). But to remove it and look at the barrel can’t be too hard.
Still wanna know were the leak comes from. The fill NIPPLE or the airtube or, if its internal, that KNOCK OPEN SOLENOID could be the culprit. But electronic or not, ANY AIRGUN TO DATE can only leak from 3-4 places. FILL NIPPLE assembly (o-ring, dirt or pocket lint…lol), FILL NIPPLE/AIR TUBE (bad o-ring), AIR TUBE/RECEIVER connection (bad o-ring), valve stem top hat (dirt or bad fit to flow through port hole). Thats about it.
I noticed he didn’t write anything about reading the instructions.
Takes all of a minute if you read the strap and grip adjustment stuff too…
Set dwell time, hi/medium/low power and bullet weight.
Hold down the arrows for a backlight.
Use the disch mode to remove a stuck bullet.
That’s all folks… 😉
Yeah. That’s whats kinda lacking for me. These are NEW guns and require just a little different approach to filling (i guess) and shooting than any other type knock open valve PCP. Not saying the guys did not do anything right or wrong but, i’m kinda wanting to read a very thorough report on how everything was done to shoot the gun to eliminate any future questions. Shooting the gun i’m sure is very simple its just the electronics and internals that worry me. I wonder how good the E-hammer is that knocks open the valve?
But of course, i just read over on the YELLOW how brian called customer service and the guy said, “YEAH, THEY DO THAT (LEAK)”. I appreciate the honesty but i’m sure Crosman doesn’t….lol. He’ll be fired Monday.
I hear ya, I read the damned thing twice and still missed it last night… Read it today and thought he edited it. 😕
I think some people are a bit hesitant to mess with it a void any possibility of getting their money back. And so the reviews are pretty thin since it’s so much money and people don;t want to just throw the cash away.
With the electronic adjustability there isn’t much to futz with. But a crown check and baffle clipping check is a good idea. Not sure how one would access all that though, it looks pretty wrapped up in plastic.

Looks like the only real adjustments are little to none. Dwell time (trigger pull to air release time), low/medium/high power settings and bullet weight… Granted you match the bullet weight there are three settings really. I’d set the dwell time to as short as possible to reduce the impact of twitching after pulling the trigger. And I think setting the bullet weight is just to see how much air is left and how many shots can be shot. Which is all pointless if it leaks.
Has a discharge setting to get a stuck bullet out of the barrel without cycling the bolt apparently, that pretty cool but also makes me wonder why have it if the rifle is designed properly… If there isn;t enough air to get the bullet down the barrel it can push it out anyways.
Not everyone is brave enough to dive right in or has the experience like you guys. 😉 Can’t say I blame them though. Especially if I were to call in and hear “Yeah, it leaks…”
My reaction would be, cool, can I get a tag for the shipping to send it back and get my money?
Next phone call would be to get a Ranger XP. 😉 That is if I was interested in big bores after such an experience…
I’m still totally astonished that they would make the reservoir so small and susceptible to improper fills… 100psi per minute, like anyone knows what that feels or looks like and from my hpa experiences it’s always tough to control flow out of a hp tank.

No SYNOP, its not your fault dude, trust me when i say, i had to read that post a couple times to DIGEST it all.
A lot of info but then again NOT REALLY. While there is enough to get the JEST, something just doesn’t sit right with me about the way the info is being delivered. Just seems like the info still leaves a lot of questions. I guess MY problem is that i wanna see someone TRY and fix ANY issue or even LOOK INTO what the accuracy issue is. The only semi complicated part of the gun is the receiver section. Hell, remove that barrel band then unscrew the dog on shroud and lets have a looksey at the barrel/crown. then lets look at the shroud. Lets also go through the FREAKING instruction manual to make sure WE ARE ADJUSTING the electronics the right way.
😆 Man I must have been tired or it’s that damned yellow background.. 😆
Still in light of this new evidence it can only mean that two/three people can’t shoot or fill the rifle now…
Ya know, since we actually haven’t wasted the $1300 ($1800 at Midway) to check this out for ourselves it can’t be trusted… 🙄
Looks like two/three for two/three are perfect and the operators just simply suck. 😉 Still not enough information to judge, we should really wait for the first two or three hundred to see if it’s any good. Could just be three flukes, you know, like cars and everything else that never works for the first few users… 🙄

The Crosman fan boys are out. It’s to be expected, I see it often in metal detecting with subpar American made overpriced products. The metal detecting company also has great customer service. Gotta make up for the subpar product somehow… Fact is though, produce a good product and it doesn’t need to be babied out of the box. Not to mention the other guys customer service was excellent the one time I used it… 😉 In fact both customer services were the same for me, I paid for everything, apparently other people have go t free stuff from the manufacturer that makes the subpar detector… Minelab vs. Whites if you were wondering. A ten+ year old designed ML gets twice as much depth as the two year old designed Whites, the Whites costs more… 😯

So come on all you Crosman ass kissers defend this one, tell us what a fine rifle this is, tell us how Crosman is going to fix the rifle they can’t seem to build.
Oh I know it is the expected quality on a $1500.00 entry level gun like the MRod.
It had to be the owners operating error didn’t it? Crosman would not do this on their wonderful Rogue would they? I wonder how many other owners are out there with fizzing Rogues who are too embarassed or timid to face all the Yellow experts telling them they did something wrong, it took this guy a few weeks to post on his leaker.
Other than the fact that it does not go off when you fill it, and it shoots with slingshot accuracy, and it leaks, and it is is big and loud, Crosman does have a good service department, lord knows they have plenty of practice.

SYNOPSYS………….that was not a 1/2″ group. He sais that the second shot went 1/2″ from the first but the INITIAL first group was 2″. And he started of shooting that group at only 30 yards.
So here we go again with the 2″ thingy at 25-30 yards. Exactly what JC said.

I imagine that the electronic valve regulator thingy could potentially go to crap if there is any kind of air leak.

Constant leaker… Leaked enough during a hike to hunt to not get full power shots. Leaked to empty overnight. Says it shot well, no distance stated for the 1/2″ groups.
Sounds like it has a 330cc tank ❓ and needs air after a few full power shots (which is what I would expect from a big bore). And it’s LOUD (also expected and not surprising, my 25 was loud :shock:). 😆
I guess we can assume now that both new Rogue owners that have reported don’t know how to fill an air rifle for shit… 😉

Unfortunantely, the Crosman guys are too busy putting there airguns in the hands of professional hunters who so far have only shot 1 HIGH FENCE pig and slapped around some small game and posed with the gun. Nothing Great yet. The pig hunting video was planned and rushed…..the hog had a tag in its ear.

The video says ‘seals’ need to seat correctly, but I would suspect the orings at the valve, receiver and or fill cap…
If it’s a simple oring fix then that is great, but I believe they would have figured it out by now, I would hope… This is not the way to debut a new expensive rifle.
We are not talking any more or less pressure than any other rifle right? I would then suspect it is a design flaw, something they say it isn’t (which usually means it is).
