Cricket or Edgun POLL
Which do you prefer and why?
I don’t have neither but looking seriously into the Cricket. To me it has all the advantages over Edgun: price, shot count, superior regulator, magazine (that works) and looks. I’m going to wait a few months to see if they come up with a .25 compact. Otherwise I think I will get the .22 tactical standard. I just love the size of the .22 standard. Would prefer the .25 but it’s a little too long for me…

You’ll never get there with that one screw trigger, if i’ve understood it correctly. Not by polishing anyway. Try different settings with the rod/rod adj. screws and different springs. That may-or may not- make it almost Cricket esque.
Cricket has a better, far more adjustable trigger. No question.

I have polished and tweaked but I cant quite get my two Matadors triggers (both one screw) to be as crisp as the Cricket’s. When you figure it out please post. Most unknowing shooters think the triggers are great but you expect a certain feel after shooting match guns.
I haven’t been able to tune my single screw 30 cal trigger to equal my 2 screw tuned R2.5 and R3 triggers. I am still working on it.
If you remove the rear trigger screw, pull the front screw out, round the threaded end, and then polish it, you can make a very good trigger out of it.
It takes some adjusting and you might have to change the length of the trigger rod by removing the trigger/hammer block assembly, remove the 2 screws that secure the trigger housing to the hammer block and rotate the trigger housing clockwise/counter clockwise to get the right trigger rod length.
You want the trigger rod “bar” to be horizontal before you start turning the front screw in. Set up right, the formerly 2 screw R3 trigger can be made to work amazingly well.
I hear you! I got my trigger to a point it was near Match – like. Haven’t tried to fiddle with that new one screw unit though but the old model can be made really crisp and nice.

You know those people who don´t change their clothes, don´t take care of their personal hygiene and don´t care if the girlfriend looks like an overgrown Bean Bag. They drive a Yugo and eat at the local Greasy Spoon. That isn´t a choice – it´s a statement : “I don´t give a Fuck ! “.

Edgun has à more solid feel. When shooting the cricket i am anoyed (spelling?) with spring sound. That sound makes it feel like a 100$ gun. The trigger is better overall on the cricket (atleast compered to edgun with steelbreach and 2 screw adjuster). Accuracy is the same. I dont know where that leaves me in choosing between the two….i guess both is ok!

We should do this poll again with the bobcat in 2 months. By then all the new guns will be broken in.

We need another poll with the Bobcats included since are really are three choices. They have been around long enough now. 🙂
I have owned 3 Edguns and 1 Cricket prior to the two new .30’s I now own. In the real world both have great shoot ability, reliability, and I think they both look cool. In my hands the Edguns preform better. The fidgety magazine fitting does not impress me with a Cricket. And I like the quality of the build parts of my Edguns compared to the Cricket. 😎
