Here is a post from the Yellow where WWAG partner Charlie throws in his two cents. He seems to indicate the manufacturer lowered their price unless he is just stirring the pot.

I called a big retailer today…

The price they were offering on the Cricket just seemed to low to believe. They said the manufacturer had lowered the price so they decided to pass it on to us. I question why a manufacturer would willingy drop the price that much on an item in such a high demand with low supply.
The next thing I want to know, is why the FX Bobcat cost so much more.

Charlie

Charlie isn’t a “WWAG partner”!! Haha he’s just a yellow member. WWAG is made up of Steve and Kat and have some sort of business arrangement with Peter at Top Airguns thats it.

All the posts I’ve seen as of late about defective products from AOA have all been bobcats and FX , if someone could kindly point me in the direction of a post where someone ordered a cricket from AOA, experienced a problem, asked to have AOA repair/replace it, to which they (AOA) refused….. if you can show me the proof I will rest my case and hope I get lucky. Otherwise I don’t think I have anything to fear from purchasing from AOA…..

Find me someone that bought a Cricket from AoA. I haven’t heard of ANYONE who has bought a Cricket from them. Now look at what people are buying from AoA and see if you start to see a trend.

Charlie

i will tell you this… i have read many… 15+ post on the yellow prior to being pulled about issues of guns being fucked up when getting to them and the packaging was not damaged meaning the stuff was just blatantly overlooked … and thats not the post i missed and were removed before i got to them.

I have never seen any post about wwag sending out junk.

i know that when i bought my hm1000x steve told me if i wasn’t happy once i got it he would gladly take it back full refund.

Is it really a $300 difference? I haven’t seen free shipping advertised at AOA (maybe it is free?) and I’ve read that WWAG sends a fill probe ($30 @ AOA) with the foster adapter? I’ve also read posts where people were looking for the adapter back a year or so and that led to the dog days of airgunning until a solution was found.

The cheekpiece is a non issue for both.

I don’t claim to know these details but when I compared the two these questions came to mind.

WWAg is the only one that offers 100% money back guarantee, AoA ….good luck.

Do you have a link to that money back guarantee? Thanks

I don’t think its a posted guarantee (will email Steve and recommend adding it) but if you call to place an order Steve will tell you that “if its not right for you send it back, I’d much rather not make a sale than have a dissatisfied customer”
Steve knows that its the customer that makes or breaks a business, which in my book makes him a vendor we need to stay in business. With these business tactics in place it forces other vendors to be held accountable for their actions, just look at the Cricket reviews, whens the last one you saw sold from another vendor other than WWAG. That in itself is a testament to their customer service and their business strategy to making sure the customer is happy.

Didn’t know about the guarantee but I’m leaning towards the solid reputation and looking to get a thoroughly checked over gun that works well “out the box”. It’s still a few weeks away for me but I’ve been laying in the weeds waiting for over a year now. Pulling the trigger should lead to desired outcome.

I’ve bought some things from AOA before, no different of a transaction than from any other retailer . And the thought of AOA a business actually trying to make money is……bad…… 😕 I mean come on, would you not do the same thing if you were in their shoes? For crying out loud they lowered their damn prices , as a consumer it is the #1 goal to save money no? I guess I’m just too much of a cynical bastard at times and need to look at these things from a ideological perspective as well…… props to you guys for putting principale over profit I suppose…..

I agree. I have never had a problem with AOA and would buy from them again. I still maintain the market for pups is getting highly competitive and lower prices will be the result.
