Q:

EDgun Matador is the #1 PCP in the world…

EDIT: This was not a gun problem after all… It was a problem with my adjustable magnification scopes… All 3 scope (Leapers 8-32X56, Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50X60, and Leapers 4-12X40) were losing their zero and shifting the Point Of Impact every time I moved the magnification adjustment wheel from the lowest setting to the highest setting and back again to the lowest setting…

Eduard, here are some 65yd groups I shot this morning…. It seems that
sometimes it is a laser shooting 3-5 shots on top of each other and then shots
start to fly everywhere… I cleaned the barrel very carefully and shot some 100
shots before shooting these groups… The wind was absolutely zero… My
Combro is on the blink so I could not get any FPS information…. This gun has
well over 10,000 rounds through it. It does not make a difference what
the psi is in the gun and I removed the shroud/mod to make sure it was not
causing any problems. (See group on bottom left that says “No mod”)
I also pulled out my Rapid to make sure that it was not the conditions.. The
Rapid shot a 10 shot sub 1″ group at 80yds. The EDgun shot 2 sub 3″
groups so I know it was not the wind nor the shooter causing the wild
flyers…. I ordered a new Chrony this morning so I should have FPS info
next week….

Ah, zoomomatic between shots is no good eh? 😯

Interesting to see the near perfect vertical string for that one target after the adjustments… 😕

Always welcome! 😉

Wow, thanks Ed…. Is this the scope you advise to use?

I never advice anything since I think everybody has to make his own decision 🙂 I just say that I used this scope for at least 6 years and I found it worth every cent of money paid 🙂 That is does not mean that you will like it 🙂 like I do 🙂

Well Ed… I know you like the Matador, and I like the Matador, so good
chance I will like the scope same as you…. That is the information we
need…Thanks again…

check out the toten optics 10X42 and 16X42

I have sold quite a few to my customers…supposed to be the same as the Supersniper scopes…

That is Tasco SS made in a different way, I can recognize it from others easily since I worked with them for about 6 years, and one of 10×42 was my testing scope for about 4 years. You can imagine how often I revolve the turrets and so on and nothing happened to it. Once I dropped accidentally Matador from about 1 meter hight to the concrete floor directly on the scope, I did not even rezeroed it after 🙂 By the way I’ve seen another clone of Tasco SS named Nikko Stirling 10×42, the same thing under other name.

Great info Ed….. I will looking for the Tasco….

Ed, what is the ideal scope for the Edgun?

Constant magnification. I hate all those so popular multi magnification scopes. If it is not front focal that is nothing even to talk about. Imagine — it is not FF you are used to shoot at 10 mag, then you need to make a quick shot at long distance, you want to see the target better — of course you change the mag, and you never now what place of the reticle to use! Everything changed!!! If not to touch the mag regulator and shoot only at one mag — why do you need it? Take the constant mag scope. To me and my guns I think the ideal scope should be 12 mag with the right mildot (1 mil 5 cm. at 100 meters) and long reticle 6-8 mil down, which allow me to use it without touching turrets. But I have not met such yet, may be will order my own in China to make 🙂 For now I use Tasco Super Sniper 10×42 and consider it at the best scope for my guns based on price/quality base 🙂

Ed, what is the ideal scope for the Edgun?

quote Ed:

Well, I always tell to my clients — do not buy cheap scopes 🙂 I am glad you have found the reason but I think the result could be better then you’ve shown at the last picture.

Ed

Yes I agree the Matador will shoot better than I….
Yes Ed, I understand about cheap scopes, my Nikko is no cheap scope. It is
$800.00US…. Now I am not to know which scope is to work properly… Maybe
a scope with no magnification adjustment?
The Nikko will travel to the manufacturer for checking…
