Q:

EDgun Matador is the #1 PCP in the world…

EDIT: This was not a gun problem after all… It was a problem with my adjustable magnification scopes… All 3 scope (Leapers 8-32X56, Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50X60, and Leapers 4-12X40) were losing their zero and shifting the Point Of Impact every time I moved the magnification adjustment wheel from the lowest setting to the highest setting and back again to the lowest setting…

Eduard, here are some 65yd groups I shot this morning…. It seems that
sometimes it is a laser shooting 3-5 shots on top of each other and then shots
start to fly everywhere… I cleaned the barrel very carefully and shot some 100
shots before shooting these groups… The wind was absolutely zero… My
Combro is on the blink so I could not get any FPS information…. This gun has
well over 10,000 rounds through it. It does not make a difference what
the psi is in the gun and I removed the shroud/mod to make sure it was not
causing any problems. (See group on bottom left that says “No mod”)
I also pulled out my Rapid to make sure that it was not the conditions.. The
Rapid shot a 10 shot sub 1″ group at 80yds. The EDgun shot 2 sub 3″
groups so I know it was not the wind nor the shooter causing the wild
flyers…. I ordered a new Chrony this morning so I should have FPS info
next week….

Yes Ed, very much wrong….. The producers think we are lucky to get
service… Buyers can not find producers once money has changed hands…
This is a problem that can not be fixed with the chrony….
Maybe now the economy is changing the minds of the producers and they see
that the customer is paying the bills…

Damn propaganda 🙂 We have completely opposite situation. I have other business as well, we make and install the iron doors to the houses and flats. So, people watching that bloody TV, where they are tought how to deal with the companies just staing in line to the court to get any possibility to get money. The stupid law here allow them EVERYTHING and do not allow us ANYTHING. For example just not to answer the claim I am risking to get fine up to 2 000 US dollars. But even the judgers themselves confess that 95 % of those who goes to court a just crazy and there is nothing to talk about in their claims, but according to the law the judg have to. So, I sometimes thing just to close the company and let those stupid buy the China “metall” doors which I can oper with the screwdriver for less then a minute 🙂

Many here are trying for law suites Ed but to win the case you must have
a lawyer and the minimum for this service is $2,000.00. It is a very
complicated and expensive process most do not have enough money to
gamble if they might not win..

regarding the scope issues…make sure you are not at the limit of your adjustment range on the elevation turret…it is quite easy to reach if you are zeroing at 50-65yrds and have not shimmed the mount or used adjustable mounts…

when using the scope with the elevation turret dialed right out it can cause some weird problems….

Ed, aren’t you suspicious of the timing of this issue just when your new barrels are being offered? Just go ahead and do the swap with Mam and get it over with 😆 .

🙂 I have not thought about it! But to Mam’s surprise that will not work, just changing the barrels 🙁

Ed, I have the old-old silencer with the plastic cup baffles. What do I need to order to upgrade the silencer? Will the new baffles fit in the old tube or do I need to order the whole assembly?

No, you need to replace it totaly with the tube, they are absolutely different.

quote mamcrackin:

I will probably replace it with a Leapers 8-32X56 non luminated if I can find
one….. I have 3 and they just work…

That is why I don’t use Leapers :), you never know who is wrong you or the scope 🙂 Hade some bad experience with them. On the other hand on my Veles I have collimator scope Falke-1 from Leapers and I am totaly satisfied with it 🙂

Wow, are we beginning to get customer respect?

I bought a Bushnell Elite 6-24 X 50 Tactical. It has the side focus. Retail over $900, I got it from Cheaper Than Dirt for $620. It is a little clearer and sharper than my $400 Hawke 6-24 X 56 Sidewinder SR 12.

While not quite as clear and bright, I like the Hawke a lot better. I love the SR12 reticle, I think that it was designed to be used on air rifles. The Bushnell has only 4 mill dots, is not worth the aditional $200 and is better suited for powder burners. I will have to give the Bushnell credit though, it is smaller and a lot lighter.

I just ordered a Hawke Sidewinder 30 Tactical 8.5-25 X 42. It has the new 1/2 mill dot 20X reticle with 9 mill dots. AOA told me that the new Hawke has clearer and brighter optics than the Sidewinder SR12.

I will have it this Thursday and plan on puting it on my mythical .25 cal long version Matador, once it actually materializes that is. 😆

I just emailed Airguns of Arizona about the Nikko scope and they replied….
Wow, are we beginning to get customer respect?

I love Bushnell scopes. Love ’em. They are so clear and tough.
But, why oh why can’t they put the AO adjuster on the side?!?
If they’d just do that for me, I’d never buy another brand.

You should chrono that scope and see whats wrong with it….lol

I chased POI for along time on my Talon. It would be a tack driver then go whacky. Check everything and it turned out to me the Leapers Scope.

A bushnell legend cured it

Hmmmm, a little bush might be just what the doctor ordered…..

Doesn’t it feel like a 20 lb weight lifted when you get it figured out? Well, maybe not so much when you realize a $800 scope took a dump.

Yours isn’t the first gripe I’ve heard re: that pricey scope. I hope Nikko has a solid warranty. It’s not like an Edgun has a harsh recoil. 🙄

lol, I think I got 10lbs off.. We’ll see if the 10lbs of Nikko comes off
tomorrow… Warranty or not, they will get it back with 10lbs of what for… Just
another day in the life of an air gun addict…. I swear can stop any time I
want..lol

If that is the case, I would love to see of you in action on youtube 😉 .

LOL… Will be no place for video evidence… Could be used against me in a
court of law…lol I need to look into my Nikko warranty….

If that is the case, I would love to see of you in action on youtube 😉 .
