Q:

EDgun Matador is the #1 PCP in the world…

EDIT: This was not a gun problem after all… It was a problem with my adjustable magnification scopes… All 3 scope (Leapers 8-32X56, Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50X60, and Leapers 4-12X40) were losing their zero and shifting the Point Of Impact every time I moved the magnification adjustment wheel from the lowest setting to the highest setting and back again to the lowest setting…

Eduard, here are some 65yd groups I shot this morning…. It seems that
sometimes it is a laser shooting 3-5 shots on top of each other and then shots
start to fly everywhere… I cleaned the barrel very carefully and shot some 100
shots before shooting these groups… The wind was absolutely zero… My
Combro is on the blink so I could not get any FPS information…. This gun has
well over 10,000 rounds through it. It does not make a difference what
the psi is in the gun and I removed the shroud/mod to make sure it was not
causing any problems. (See group on bottom left that says “No mod”)
I also pulled out my Rapid to make sure that it was not the conditions.. The
Rapid shot a 10 shot sub 1″ group at 80yds. The EDgun shot 2 sub 3″
groups so I know it was not the wind nor the shooter causing the wild
flyers…. I ordered a new Chrony this morning so I should have FPS info
next week….

At this point, I would think something about the striker mechanical movements of the Edgun and scopes.

I am hoping that the chrony will bring any irregularities in the firing system to
light if it proves not to be the scope….. I will beat the scope with a screw
driver after each shot tomorrow to see if the POI changes.

At this point, I would think something about the striker mechanical movements of the Edgun and able to knock some scope internal loose.

My guess is the scope still will work well on your other rifles.

Working “WELL” is not an operational value I can accept…..lol

How far do you think I can sling a Nikko Stirling
Diamond into the woods???/

Throw it over a chronograph and we will calculate how far you can throw it based on the speed.

It would be interesting to know the BC but, I would have to wait until chrony
shows up and I am not sure if I can hold out that long…

I swapped scopes again and shot a 10 shot group with a light breeze… 1
flier that was my fault. The group looks like it is sub 1/2″ @ 65yds but the
Mosquitoes are so bad that I can not get out to the target to check…..
Tomorrow I will run 50 or so shots to see how it runs and then swap the
scopes back to check the Nikko….
Problem might be solved…… How far do you think I can sling a Nikko Stirling
Diamond into the woods???/

Ok, barrel is heavy cleaned with bore brush. I have 50 shots through the
barrel. I am waiting for the wind to calm down to see if we have solved the
problem….. I am piling pellets @ 50yds but fliers are again coming… I am
hoping it is wind….
Oh yea, Ed just send Tony one of the new barrels so I can get
this fixed…lol

sneaky sneaky ……. 😆

Ed, I have the old-old silencer with the plastic cup baffles. What do I need to order to upgrade the silencer? Will the new baffles fit in the old tube or do I need to order the whole assembly?

Ed, aren’t you suspicious of the timing of this issue just when your new barrels are being offered? Just go ahead and do the swap with Mam and get it over with 😆 .

You should run it through a chrony. Will tell you what’s going on speed wise

😆

More great info… Pffft….

I have choke like resistance in 4 places through the bore….

If there was nothing like that before — the lead inside the barrel, even if you have clean patches going out. You should clean the barrel in a hard way 🙂 By the way, the idea about the scope is quite correct, I got once the same problem, was thinking to anything but the scope, but that was it 🙂 Try to take one from the good shooting gun and put on EDgun to test.

Mam, I’m still thinking it is your scope. Worst scenario…the regulator?

Did that khadux… No help…. Groups looked the same…
