Damn it, well i guess you have to pay for the best.
However H&N Field Target Trophy 20.1 grain .25 cal are only £5 = $7.82 for a 200 tin, and they seem really accurate in my BSA barrel.
I can’t source and Kings over here. Damn expensive seeing as though I want to shoot all the time 🙁

A tin of 500 JSB exacts (15.9 grains) cost £10 = $15.69
The problem is that anyone who can be bothered to get an FAC, they go straight to .22 LR, and anyone who gets and FAC airgun, the max power they usually get is 30 fpe in .22

I got my reg turned down, finally! There’s a story behind that, I am too tired to tell it. I put in a de pinger and used the hammer spring adjuster from my Standard .22. I set the adjuster where it was set on my standard, .069″ an easy number for me to remember.
3100psi fill, first 3 shots 811fps. I have a lot of adjustment on the hammer spring. I hope to be able to turn it up to 920-960fps without having to turn the reg up a little. I also hope that the bell curve is gone.
I have all of Sunday morning to find out. I want some killer 50,65 and 100 yard groups to post.
Do you think the slight increase would be noticeable?
I do think that ED might be trying to push them for something a little heavier i.e. over 30 grains
Oh well, we will just have to see what they produce. I would be happy with the 25.4 grain pellets, if I could get them in this country for a reasonable price if at all 🙁

Yep, Ed was asking about 43+gr pellets a while back.. I thought he was
out of his mind but these guns could definitely handle that much weight…
It is really surprising that JSB’s are more expensive there than here…

Yes, after my post I did realise that the increase in weight from the 15.9’s to the 18.1’s is only 2.2 grains.

I would think somewhere at 30 grains would be a nice weight. Considdering 31 grain Kodiaks are considdered heavy.

That is the same percentage increase as going from 15.9 to 18.1 not much
but I am not sure how or why JSB came to the increase.

Thats GREAT news, JSB seems to always create increadibly accurate pellets so anything they make will likely be a great hit. I wonder what shape they will go for, maybe an extended version of the current Kings, Like in .22 they have the 15.9 grains and 18.1 grains. Heavyweight and lightweight in each calibre.

I got an email from Ed today. He said that he is at the JSB factory and is “trying to force Pavel to begin to make good quality heavy .25 caliber pellets, he promised me to make attempts”
I have my regulator apart and I am in the process of reducing the set point of 157 bar down to 130 bar.
It is very windy here today and I won’t get a chance to shoot tomorrow. I will give it hell Monday.

I got my reg turned down 1/3 turn, I think I will go down another 1/4 turn. It is shooting 970fps, with the hammer spring turned in. If I turn the hammer spring down, to get it to shoot in the 940s, I get a 10 fps variation between shots. So, turn down the reg some and increase tension.
Went to the range this morning. The wind was gusting with crazy direction changes. I started having poi scope induced issues also. I managed to get a few decent groups in and one .714, 99 yard group.
I have to send my new Hawke back for replacement. First, the 52 yard group.
Hare is the 67 yarder.
Now the 99 yard group. 1 yard short of 100 yards, does this still let me get in the 100 yard group contest? 😆

The scope and wind was giving me fits. I had my Bushnell Elite 4200 Tactical with me, didn’t have time to put it on. The range was closing.
Please forgive the sloppy penmanship. I was trying to write on the targets while holding them up. I didn’t want to smash the groups.
