Q:

OIL,OIL, TOIL and trouble

This oil spill in the gulf has been going on for about one month now.

This is going to reach catastropic proportions if it hasnt already .

I thought some of the guys on here could put thier evil genius 😈 to good use .

does anyone have any good or bad ideas that they think might slow down or stop this ??

Im no engineer , but first I would remove BP and and anyone else involved from the picture .

As they have a certain amount of time money and may pose a conflict of interest in getting this done quickly.

I dunno, if thats true or not , but lets start new .

Ok My idea , (maybe it wouldnt work , I dunno ) would be to dump 30 or 40 cargo ships full of gravel and 1 ton blocks of stone . just keep dumping till it stops .

In an attempt to smother it . then apply some some type of concrete to seal it .

re drill (I know) next to it, or tap it . to remove pressure .

Im no engineer man , just shooting it out there to you evil geniuses who might be able to springboard off that . I know some of you fucks are clever enough to get it done

whats your ideas ? Cause BP doesnt have any .

waiting till the well runs dry (literaly) isnt an option .

Gee, what started as a 50-70% chance of working may not even be attempted because it may create more problems than it solves…

Next envelope please!!!

Now the real question is what’s the flow rate in CFM given a 14″ diameter pipe at 6500psi (9000psi?) pumping oil. Maybe I’ve got my math wrong but I’d love to know how much this thing is really dumping.

To apply 7000 psi pressure on a 14″ pipe you need approx 1.1m pounds of weight. That’s 550 tons! 🙂

14″ diameter pipe with 150 tons on top is….

area of a 14in circle = 154 in/sq
150 tons = 300000 lb

300000 lb
———— = 1948 psi
154 in/sq

Crazy to think an AF gun has more psi than that, of course, without the volume!

I know water doesn’t compress very much but at these depths does the steel become more buoyant due to displacement?

150 ton block and tackle 😯

how many PSI is 150 tons?

6,500 pounds per square inch of upward pressure

only requires 6,501 pounds per square inch of upward downward pressure to nuetralize.

Thats an impossible task ? 😆

whats the pressure 25 foot away??

not enough hay 😆 come on ,now your being be absurd .

Look at a map and see that part in the middle called the great plains?

a million tons of hay is peanuts .

and we dont have to use ALL of it

the cost of dispersant is going to be WAYYYYYYYY more than the cost of hay .

It doesnt break down intoi water , I dont care what they tell you .

The Bristh goverment already banned its use for being to toxic.

and if you think its safe I want to see you drink a glass of it .

just what to you think happens to the oil ? dissapear? It doesnt disapear .

Its a shame we have guys in charge who belives nothing can be done because some guy with a masters degree in Pittburg said so . SO they trow thier hands in air and say oh well I guess we just have to live with this nothinf can be done the expert said so .

Im telling you they can bury it .

4 walls built around it with whatever material you choose 10 yards X 10 yards 100 foot thick 10- 20 ft high .

A manmade trench if you will built all the way around so the leak is 15 20 foot below the walls .

the opening at the top is 10 x10 yards lower a barge filled with concrete over the top or drop 100 ton blocks of stone on it .

5 ship full of gravel finish off with concrete.

There is no reason it cant be buried .

shit drill mutiple holes along the whole length of pipe to equalize and disperse the pressure .

Im telling ya it can be done . US army corps of engineers and the Navy can do it.

but they want it so they can keep useing it . it s cash for them, unlimited amounts of cash .

Do you really think theyre going to walk away ?

never. never ever. and they dont give a fuck who or what dies or who loses thier job . they aint giveing up that gold mine under any circumstances.

forgien companys are calling the shots on the beaches of the US !!!

who the fuck is BP to tell any American he cant film on the beach ?

where’s freedom of the press now??

these greedy fucking corperations are running the show .

Success of the venture will depend on loading enough mud and cement into the well to stop the surge of oil and gas — a tricky proposition. Iraj Ershaghi, director of the petroleum engineering department at USC, estimated that the upward pressure was likely to be about 9,000 pounds per square inch. At a depth of 5,000 feet, the water pressure bearing down on the leak is about 2,500 pounds per square inch, he added.

That leaves a difference of about 6,500 pounds per square inch of upward pressure at the wellhead, explaining why the oil and gas flowing upward can easily overwhelm the water pressing down on it and why the crude hascontinued to gush into the ocean.

“This is not a kids’ game, to fight that kind of pressure,” Ershaghi said.

And let’s not forget the lesson we learned in the economy crash… BP can file
for bankruptcy any time they feel like it…. Probably open the next day under
a different name too..

Straw sounds like a good idea but what will you feed the livestock? I
seriously doubt that there is some huge surplus of hay laying around just in
case there is an oil spill….. The price of Hay will sky rocket and so will
everything else…. The middle income american will suffer again….The
dispersant does not make the oil sink, it makes it form a water and oil
emulsification… The oil and water virtually become one… It works just like
dish washing soap… That is why you don’t see grease or cooking oil on the
bottom or top of the sink after washing dishes…. Once the oil is emulsified it
is impossible to separate it from the Trillions of gallons of water it has been
mixed with but, it will eventually fall out of suspension and wind up back on
the surface and beaches…. They never should have used a dispersant of any
kind at all… They did it to reduce the amount of oil that would show up on the
surface and beaches therefore reducing the cost of the cleanup…

The quantities of hay needed to make a dent in this spill would require the nation working together in conjunction( hopefully under a military leader) to move obtain and move all available hay to the gulf by every and all means necessary, trucks, ships, planes

It would have to be moved to airports truck stations and ship yards near every city . it would require the use of the national guard and some federal troops and their equipment .

It might require the private sector to donate whatever services they could to assist

and it would require the leadership of the country to actually lead , to understand the vast resources and assets the US has at its disposal

It doesn’t understand the good will Americans are capable of doing for their country men if they were only asked to do something.

But goodwill seems to be so far outside their normal condition so as not to even consider it a possible option or asset .

But asking vampires to understand and use the concept of goodwill is beyond their scope of thought. A bunch of incompetent “”takers””

Hay can be used as part of the clean up , If you watched the video I posted before you will see that the oil will stick to thay but the water doesn’t

its a natural filter and it works .Its been used before

what happened is that BP is injecting a dispersant directly into the spill at the bottom .

this keeps the oil from floating to the surface, it doesn’t get rid of it. its still there .

only we cant see it.

The other thing is that apparently BP themselves wrote a report 5 years ago on the toxicity of the agent and found it to be 8 or nine times as toxic as Oil . and it doesn’t remove it !! only sink it which makes it worse when your trying to suck it up on the surface with hay

The British have even stopped its use . so they dumped 700,000 gallons of poison to help stop the millions of gallons of poison they dumped before.

hay is just one tool in the toolbox . it isnt the answer alone.

they have ships with centrifuges that can filter 20,000 gallons a day .

twenty of those would help, shit the contract to build more of them could have been given weeks ago. at all costs production by multiple builders

Also remember BP fumbled the shit out of the Valdez cleanup???

That was Exxon

I like the hay idea. Pat that shit dry. Yo can’t rub it in. Like spilling shit on a carpet. Just a mile below the ocean surface 🙂 Also remember BP fumbled the shit out of the Valdez cleanup???
