The EDgun regulator is one of the best in the world. It is straightforward and efficient. The regulator is capable of almost 1 FPS extreme spread. Wingman did an excellent video where he showed that variation is caused by external factors, not the regulator. So the Huma advantage comes from its low profile, this gives more volume in the plenum. I would put it on par with the Edgun regulator regarding efficiency
In the standard, the speed I can achieve realistically is 790 to 810 with the Huma and 34s. The long will hit about 830 max. I don’t like the current set up, and I would like to run the regulator at 120 and get speeds of 880 in the long with 34s. I have some ideas how to do it, and Wingman is going to help.
So be patient I am working on a solution to get more speed and not redline the capability of the Matador

These are not pellets.
You will have to resize the bullits if you are using the standart barrel.
I got them up to 255 m/s at 150 bar reg with an LW .223 barrel on my R3 long.
They have a bigger surface of friction compared to pellets,
so less joule/cc of air.
But the better bc gives them a lot of power at the long distance.

Excellent… I am really interested in this. I think a .22 cal 34 grain or larger at 950 fps will be fenomenal for hunting.

I have found the reg decals to be spot on.. as the regs plastic seat wears Ive seen up to a 2 bar inaccuracy but besides that the decals are very dependable. I have 5 huma leshiy regs here and they are all within 2 bar
Interesting question re; 33gr beasts in .22, I hadn’t considered them as I was focused on .25cal but Id say the 25.4gr monster .22cal would shoot better. Both worth a try for sure.
Huub still has my .22cal R3 long in Holland 😉 , maybe he could run some tests with it once he gets the bits CNC made..
Excellent. I certainly like the adjustability of the HUMA when dialing in the pressure especially now that we know its accurate. Starting to regret selling my .25 R3M! Yeah, I have been slinging some .22 beast’s out of my TM but only around 700fps. I know the plenum is not nearly big enough. Would I be wrong in saying the .22 33gr may have a better BC due to the length/diameter/weight? Just a guess on my part since I have done no testing. Ball is in your court Huub! :biggrinn:

Not as bad as i thought it would be… I get 90 shots with kings at 900fps and about 55 shots with this kit and 34gr at 900fps.
Like I said though the end product will be different to this prototype so these figures are subject to change as we work out the best tune for the new design which will have even more plenum volume and a lower reg set pressure.

The red thing is the Airborne Arms degasser/puller. I will be carrying those for sale from Phil.
I will try the 33 grain .22s, but I don’t currently have a .22 long in stock. I think the long R3M will give the best efficiency. I will post results in the standard. Here is the thing to consider. The transfer port will need to be the same size as the .25 caliber.
Valve TP:
.22 = 5.2 mm
.25 = 5.8 mm
Valve seat:
22 = 5.5 mm
25 = 6.5mm
Forward breech TP:
22 = 5 mm
25 = 5.5mm
3. I think it is just a degassing tool / puller.
