My haley .457 is finally here i should have the 58 in bout 2 weeks my 457 is supposed to produce 500+fpe i got the scope mounted tonight and will shoot tomorrow and YES i Will get u guys some pics also

Have a Haley .45, yes I have tore it down once, never seen anything like some of the pix I have seen posted, then again mine wasn’t ordered either, it was Jack’s personal rifle so maybe he gave it extra attention, don’t know other than that I am extremely happy with it

I’m assuming above that he wouldn’t have looked inside if all had appeared well outside and operationally. Of course, if you can get everything right outside and operationally, the inside is usually OK…
You are right, in that he would have been happy with the rifle’s OUTSIDE appearance if those glaring faults were not there.
He definitely would have opened it up and checked everything out like he does his other guns. He can be a hyper-critical sort when it comes to tolerances and such, but I don’t think he was nit-picking to much here.
I just can’t fathom how Jack and Reba could overlook those MISTAKES, and send that rifle out. I can’t give the internals the benefit of the doubt considering the blatant flaws displayed in the video.

I have to admit my bolt fits my action like a glove. Perfect! I do have one of Jack’s newer ones. It also has a very heavy spring in it, as I requested for the most power. Detailed review will be forthcoming.

RJ, sorry for hi jacking this thread. I feel as though i basically shitted on your excitement about owning your new gun. I also apologize to you for not coming 100% forth right. I owe you that. Your gun should be fine and if you ever have any issues and you want me to help you, just pm me or email me. I’m willing as i’ve dealt with just about every issue with a Haley and other HIGH DOLLAR GUNS. If i can help ya, i will.
I hope most folks here have learned something besides that i don’t have a life and i kept this post BREWING. There is WAAAAAY more to buying a good airgun besides WORD OF MOUTH or POPULARITY. I’ve had issues with 1700 dollars guns and 600 dollars guns (but never a 99 dollars gun…HUMMMMM….LOL) and i’ve seen a lot. I continue to grow every time i log onto any air gun forum.

I would like to take mine to the range one last time and shoot the hell out of it before I take it apart. I need my buddy to try to get me some serious HPA at the firehouse. After I will take mine down to see how she looks.
Funny thing is… I’ll bet he was only a few details off from being happy as shit with the gun! If it had a bolt that was machined nice and tight for smooth action and the inletting was proper, I bet he’d be happy as shit, provided the gun made power like RJ’s…

He was royally pissed-off when he made it. Wouldn’t you be? He sent them a bunch of money for two rifles.

This is the guy that bitched-out Tofazfou more than anyone just for saying that the Haley rifles needed work back in January of this year. He can have a temper, and was just standing-up for his new friends that are sooooo nice to talk to on the phone.
Then he received his own Haley rifle and saw the light. HE would like to buy Tofazfou a beer sometime over it. He didn’t have to take it apart to know it wasn’t what he wanted, and didn’t feel the need to open the box of his second Haley before sending it right back. It would have just made him more mad!

Well, i wanted a big bore and i could not wait my entire life to get on the DAQ list. I can not afford a BARNES (but would die to own one), Dans gargoyle was not really popular yet so, i figured HEY, its been a while since i bought my 32, and there was talks of new machinery on its way, MAYBE HIS QUALITY was better.
Again, this time, it was better with the JH457. No rust anywhere in the gun. And the parts were new looking but, Now with the JH457, there was again….MACHINING ERRORS.
There were inletting errors. My gun sits crooked in the stock. And so did a few other JH’s that people paid money for. I’ve seen their pics and they had the exact same thing i did. So i knew it was legit.
Port holes were varying sizes. One was .250″ and another was .270 and another would be .260″. And the one that was .25 was the transfer port made of brass in between the valve body port hole and the barrel port hole…….HUMMMM? WHAAAT? So i made all the port holes the same. MY SECRET OF COURSE.
But that is the reason i bought another haley and my 2 haleys are the reason why i am DONE forever with those gun. It can be twenty years from now and his work could become MASTERPIECES. I will no longer support him or his gun.
But i will continue to shoot mine and post videos of it. HIS GUNS WORK, it’s just the internal quality/QC is not up to par.
THAT’s IT.
What baffles me more than the fact that i bought another haley baffles you is………WHY WOULD JACK NOT THINK THAT SOMEBODY OUT THERE WOULD TAKE THESE GUNS APART ONE DAY and put him on BLAST! I’m surprised his competitors like DAQ on other did not buy one and tear into him. He has simply got to be smart enough to have known that. You gotta study this business and do your homework before you just start making guns.
Any machinist or person with a lathe and mill could just about build these guns. They are very simple to do if you have the equipment. But you have to be a good CERTIFIED machinist at least to do it and know about tuning. Jack is honestly LEARNING as he goes and that should not be. He should have already been a certified machinist or air gun smith for years before he started making PARTS and assembling gun. That would be like me getting 100 grand worth of machining equipment and having never done any machining, START TURNING OUT GUNS and charging folks 1000 dollars which is more than a DAQ that has been around for years…….HUMMMMMM? How can that be. Oh thats right, because we pay it and people don’t tell the truth about what they bought.
Cedric,if your first jh.32 was so bad ,why did you buy a second jh .45.???.
