While you’re waiting for your Matadors……..
I thought I would share with you how I coped waiting for my Matadors. It’s a loooong story with a lot to learn. I started this thread back in June 2011 while still waiting, – and oddly enough it became one of the most viewed threads on this forum.
This is how it started:
As it happens, I am the lucky owner of a serious harem of nice guns. And I frequently visit my summerplace on the coast down south in Norway, where weather is the only restriction to my shooting….
Summernights are nice and light with sunset around 22hrs….:

So yesterday I quit Oslo for a few weeks. Fed up with my loooongish waiting for ED and friends to deliver I took 11 members of my harem with me.
Here they are:

As some of you may know, I test and review guns for our Norwegian forum, and this time a comparison of springers is on the agenda….
So go ahead and name them, from left to right…….
And yes. There will be a more in depth test of Lelya 090 who has got new glasses for the occasion…….. π
Life is too short to sit put and wait……… π

Everybody:
I have made a terrible mistake…….. π³
I thought I was approaching one year of waiting…..
It appears I was wrong and I have been misleading you all. The fact is I ordered my guns on the 16th of August 2010:

That is MORE than a year ago…… π
The Veles was ordered a few weeks later….
I am very sorry. I missed the actual anniversary and wasted an opportunity to celebrate……… π₯
But I guess I have beaten OG by a week or three……….??? :3:
Now I am getting ready to celebrate ED’s first announcement of shipment instead:

And by the way, – no news from anybody………….. π
π
My respect to Zoco :thumb:
And my deepest respect to you, Sir :thumb: for hitting the nail precisely on the head π You are an honorable man, Naser.
I believe that Ed is an honorable man too and will give Zoco very soon the TRUE information about what exactly is happening with his Edguns.

Not me my friend………. π₯
Not even my late mother would agree to that……. π
π
PS: Keep’em coming and you may end up on the top of my will ! π
By the way, – any new avatars in pipeline….. ??? π
You sir are a diplomat, a world traveler, a connoisseur of the finer things in life, eloquent and of course… a patient man.
Wait a second! We recognize you now. Yes the resemblance is truly uncanny to Ernest Hemingway but your REAL cover is definitely blown now that we know you throughout the five continents!!!
YOU are the most INTERESTING MAN IN THE WORLD!!!!
Even he suffers from EDgunitis!!!

@ Naser:
Thanks for your support. I appreciate it a lot…….. π
@ all of you:
During my working career I have been fortunate enough to travel five continents and also been a speaker at international conventions over a number of years…. π³
Frequently I have referred to this new web-based planet of ours. I call it “Cyberia”. A planet where millions of totally borderless countries peacefully coexist. Where freedom of speech is equal for all, where a crosscultural multiethnical population is the norm and passport, visas and border control are swearwords…..
I have named one of these countries “Airgunia”. We’re enjoying its’ beauty as we speak…. π
I may be wrong, but in my opinion “Airgunia” may have one of the friendliest and most helpful populations of them all. And for me now, being a citizen of this rapidly growing semi religious congregation of lunatics that worship lead pellets and their masters as God, – to be here and to listen to everybody and their opinion about my little multicultural business ethics exercise, – is probably more rewarding that the issue itself, – even if solved….. π
I deeply appreciate your comments, remarks and questions. Something which in the end can lead to nothing but a better global understanding of how humans should behave facing each other, – whether black or white, yellow or red, blueish or green. This evolving common understanding of how business ethics should be applied within “Airgunia” for everybody to be happy, – is probably even more valuable than an EDgun. May be even two….. π
Our ongoing sinful and sometimes burlesque verbal intercourse may probably not be able to cure my “EDgunitis” or “Airgunitis” for that matter, – but it certainly sooths the pain…..
Thanks…….. π

Got ya covered! Those babies show up in rural Arkansas, I’ll catch the first bus to Norway and hand deliver them.

You’re right, – seems like 196 is the correct answer at present…… π
http://www.worldatlas.com/nations.htm
Countries like England, Greenland, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Taiwan etc. may not agree though…….
Some sources tally the number to more than 250 ! π―
205 nations are said to be taking part in the Olympic Games in London in 2012:

Whatever way you look at it, – the potential marketplace for Ed and friends is huge and definately bigger than the USA alone…. π
Have fun at the post office…….
If you by any chance should find a package with my name on, – it could be my missing guns. I’m about to issue a statment about a reward so do keep a good eye on it……. π
May be not Hoot, – but bear in mind the world is not the US only. As far as I know the UN recognizes some 207 nations, and there is obviously a huge market out there NOT covered by service minded representatives like Tony…. π
For those, – this little story may be of a certain interest, – don’t you think ? π
Cheers

You are absolutely correct. We are spoiled here. Tony has given us the image that all Edgun representatives are totally customer minded.
I hope Ed can sort this out for you. If anyone deserves their Edguns, it has to be you.
Still….viewing your collection of airguns, cottages, boats, beautiful countrysides, and fish we only see in cans in these parts, I find it hard to lie feel too much pain for you. You do have a few distractions to amuse yourself till they arrive. I further suspect some of those distractions are two legged!
I’m going down the mountain tomorrow to the post office and check on that “other nations” thing. Two hundred and seven seems a bit high.
Kindest Regards,
Uncle Hoot π―
PS: Old Goat, did you know about this? I mean those other countries? I was of the opinion that Zoco lived somewhere North of Minnesota! As soon as we get electricity up here, I’m going to buy a radio.
The Edgun is defiantly well worth the wait, but everything has limits just like human patience & if there is βanyoneβ here that is or was patient enough, itβs got to be Zoco & I respect him for that, but come on, itβs been a year & thatβs not the worse part, itβs the fact that after so much waiting, you still donβt even know where are your rifles or whatβs is βexactlyβ happening & whoβs telling the truth.
I know for a fact that if Ed or his representative had told Zoco, that there is still problem with export & they canβt get it out of Russia, I am sure Zoco would have waited even more but after all this wait & knowing the rifles are in Germany (relief), you find out things arenβt what they are, thatβs the feather that broke the camelβs back.
My respect to Zoco :thumb:

+1 Mr Zocoloco,I also waited since Nov.2010 and never thought I’ll get mine and got my R2.5 in july2011.Tony is stand-up guy and also it was worth the wait.Mr Zocoloco there no doubt that you’ll get yours.I’m very π with mine.Best regard.
Ed has always been a stand-up guy. I have never known of any posts that indicated his customers were taken advantage of.
Anyway, the Edgun has always been a delivery problem in process. Thanks to the Russian pidors, we are lucky to be able to order and wait. When’s the last time anyone heard of someone outside of Russia owning a Cricket?
It is terribly frustrating, but waiting and Edguns go hand in hand. Months of waiting are not uncommon at all. They are either worth the wait to you or they are not. If not, and you feel someone is taking advantage of you, just ask Ed for a refund.
Even an Edgun is not worth all this four nation drama and fuss.

@ kglad99:
While I have a lot of sympathy for your thinking, as I understand it, – US buyers purchase through Tony Rudenko in the US itself and pay a deposit only until the gun gets there…… π
I have heard nothing neagtive about Rudenko’s operation. In fact the opposite is what has surfaced. People tired of waiting has been offered full return of any deposit paid…..
That’s what I call service, and I see no risk involved. The waiting game is there, – but little by little EDguns will filter through also to the US market for the real enthusiasts to enjoy and brag about… π
This thread will soon die and people will forget it….
Albeit so far sad, I neither hope nor think this order history of mine is going to change anything…… π
And for those who wonder: As of now, – no news whatsoever….. π
π
You can order from a custom gun maker in the USA, spend twice as much, wait just as long and be waiting without any word from the maker after a promised delivery date that has long since passed…
Apparently it’s just the nature of the beast… π
Ed is conversing with the customer and not making any deal over being asked about progress or giving progress reports, that apparently, is rare.
But I do see your point. π

Ed, and Tony also, have always been very up front with me.
I have been waiting almost a year for my R3 25 long. I just put a down payment on mine but, I don’t have the reserves that you rich guys have! π₯
My take on this is that Ed can’t really ship out of Russia right now and that he is doing his best to get our guns to us.
I DON’T like waiting. I know my R3 will get here some day. I waited 1 1/2 months for my 22 standard, 6 months for my 25 long and it is getting close to 1 year for my R3 25.
I think that Ed would like to sell as many Edguns as he possibly could. I also think that he is doing the best that he can right now with the problems that he has to deal with getting the guns out of Russia.
Ed, you need to move to the USA and Illinois would be even better! I could just walk in and buy a new gun!
i did no such thing. it is an absolute fact that(!) Zoco has waited over year after paying up front (2) he has been told diametrically opposing stories by other parties involved(3)he still doesn’t have what he paid for. listing the facts is not backstabbing, IT IS A SIMPLE REPEATING OF THE TRUTH!! IF THE PEOPLE HE HAS DEALT WITH DON’T LIKE THE HARD LIGHT OF REALITY SHINING ON THEM, MAYBE THEY SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM INSTEAD OF IGNORING EMAILS! just as an FYI, this topic and its sorry progress is now appearing on other airgun forums- and it wasn’t posted by me!
