While you’re waiting for your Matadors……..
I thought I would share with you how I coped waiting for my Matadors. It’s a loooong story with a lot to learn. I started this thread back in June 2011 while still waiting, – and oddly enough it became one of the most viewed threads on this forum.
This is how it started:
As it happens, I am the lucky owner of a serious harem of nice guns. And I frequently visit my summerplace on the coast down south in Norway, where weather is the only restriction to my shooting….
Summernights are nice and light with sunset around 22hrs….:
So yesterday I quit Oslo for a few weeks. Fed up with my loooongish waiting for ED and friends to deliver I took 11 members of my harem with me.
Here they are:
As some of you may know, I test and review guns for our Norwegian forum, and this time a comparison of springers is on the agenda….
So go ahead and name them, from left to right…….
And yes. There will be a more in depth test of Lelya 090 who has got new glasses for the occasion…….. 😉

I’ve just came home and read this. Shit! An hour ago I talked to Andrey, the most important thing was to me the parcel to Norway. Andrey got the information from Germans (based on his words) that they send the parcel to U.S. (no tracking number as well, as far as I understood that he has to ask them for tracking number many times before to get it) and are about to send the parcel to Norway. I instructed Andrey again the first thing tomorrow morning push the Germans to send the parcel to Norway as soon as possible, taking into consideration the situation with Trygve and his plans to go out. Andrey told me that he is aware about the situation as well as Germans (he wrote them about it). And now I find out that Germans wrote to Trygve that they don’t have his parcel! What the hell!!!??? That parcel was sent to them the same time as U.S. parcel!
And I called Andrey again write now. He just confirmed the same information. All the parcel to U.S. and Norway left his place at the same time. Most likely (Andrey’s version) that Germans just are full of packets after vacation and didn’t find Trygve’s parcel among them. The first thing he will do tomorrow morning, to call them and find out the situation. I am going to call him in the afternoon to know what is gonna happen.
Andrey is honest and reliable person, maybe a little slow but he is still under the court after the confiscating the first Trygve’s guns and the case is not closed, there were another court regarding it. To have the problems with it he doesn’t want to have another, besided he is in the legal firearm business and any problems with the weapon can cause him a lot of problems in the main business. That is why so strange way of delivering the guns. And you have to understand that is THE ONLY way for now to take my guns out of Russia.

No, I never received a tracking number, – but I received the below a few days after Andrey’s first email that i showed you above:
His remarks about being able to DPD to Sweden with a time frame of 2-3 days seems to make more sense now. At the time of writing his first email, – he may have found it “useful” to blame the delay on the German shipping company. In reality he may still have had the guns in Estonia…
But these are just speculations on my part.
What remains a fact is that he never replied to my questions about the exact location of my guns…….
Now we know the guns are not with the shipping company in Germany as we previously have been told by ED as well as Andrey.
This is a mess…….
Makes me wonder why on earth ED wants to set up a factory in Estonia of all places………. 🙄

I had same problem with shipping with Andrei.
Ed told me that he shipped me my gun(he probly told Andrei to do that), but after waiting 2 weeks I become angry and send email to Andrei and ask him to give me at least tracking number to see where is my parcel.
And he respond me after 2 days to ask me a copy of my name because web cant translate it propely through web.
I couldnt bealive that he asking me freakin name to send me Matador and I allready expected Matador in my hands few days ago.

We are very sorry to have to inform you, that this guns are not for Norway but for US.
We’ll contact Mr. Pesterov regarding your inquiry.
Best regards”
– and later a copy of the shippers email to Andrey:

Meaning we don’t know yet what was in that parcel from Andrey…..
And Andrey has still not responded to my emails…….. 😥
He seems to be “missing in action” when most needed. I wonder if Ed has been able to get in touch with him…… 🙄

A little bit of geography for you……… 😉
On the map below (thank you Google) you find three green markers. In the upper right corner (labelled “B”) is where Ed is having his factory. From the factory to the border of Finland I estimate the distance to be between 300 and 400 kms.
Under label “A” to the left is where I am located right now. To give you an idea of distances, driving time between Oslo and the Swedish border going down south is about 2 hrs and to Gothenborg 4hrs. Also I can catch a ferry in Oslo in the afternoon and be in Kiel (Germany) just south of Denmark the following morning at 0900 hrs.
Under label “C” is where our guns are said to be right now, – although no further confirmations have been received as of now. Driving time between Kiel and label “C” wold be around 6-7 hours I think…..
There are several direct flights every day between Oslo and Frankfurt (close to “C”). Flying time about 2 hrs.
Our guns have travelled through Estonia on their way to “C”. How we don’t know, – but they have already been through a hell of a journey…

Dear Ed,
I don’t know what has happened, but this is a mess…..
However right now I received this from the shipper in Germany. Something that to me looks like a potential “way out” of this problem….. 😉
That said I don’t really want/need 4 Matadors and 2 Veles. I have informed them accordingly and asked them to check serial numbers and caliber and revert to me immediately. This in order to get the proforma invoice correct, – something which is VERY important for customs clearance. As soon as I have serial numbers confirmed, I’ll correct the proforma invoice accordingly and send them a copy……
If the parcel/shipment cannot be split, I shall reluctantly acccept all the six items (and pay you accordingly). But then I just beg and pray there isn’t a long R3 .25 in there because then I know somebody who would not be pleased. (Do you hear me OldGoat ?)……..
