100 YARD .25 CALIBRE CONTEST!!

Today, after mowing my Ma’s lawns, and then having to use the strimmer(I think you guys call them weed whackers?) to clear 4ft X 300ft corridor, in absoultely appaling side winds ranging from about 5mph to 30mph, I managed this effort at 100 yards……
I was shooting prone, but was very wobbly with no back support.
This rig will without doubt shoot a sub 1″ group, probably tighter than that, but I need a good rest and some calm weather…
I only shot 3 five round groups ‘cos the wind was so high, this was the best..
Will be back to my Ma’s farm on Thurs so should hopefully have some better conditions to shoot in.

I will be shooting benched off a bipod or from a front rest and a rear bag… Cheating or not I don’t think i’ll be in contention for top group though. Not enough time on the barrel yet.

OldG, very nice group even off a rest! I have no idea if it is legal but it’s tight! 😯 😉
I’d say if your rest still provides movement then it counts…
Here is a .660 at 101 yards. I was using my home made rifle rest. It uses foam rubber lined clamps to hold the forearm. The gun still has to be sighted in, held on the target and moved back on to the target after shooting.
For this competition is this legal or not?
101 yards 5 shots, JSB 25.4s at 950fps. I shot 12, 5 shot groups tonight. The 12 averaged 1.507″.

I’m with Jeff on this one as I can’t seem to hold the dot on distant targets.
I agree Mam, aim small, miss small that is why I’ve gone to using the bottom post like a german reticle to line up my shot. Seems to work as my groups have tightend up a bit. (I hold at 6 o’clock)
I ordered a shooting rest last week so hopefully it will arrive sometime this week. 😀 Then—– “maybe” I won’t embaress the gun 😆
damn it now i gotta go make a 100 yard range.
i shall try with my .177 and see if i can get a group that looks as good ( half as good as) what u guys have posted. also with my .22 cal HW barrel from mac1 in hand i am just looking for my kodiaks to arrive before i try in earnest to give u guys a hard time (cue theatrical,wistful sigh).
