Q:

EDgun Matador, caliber .30, second generation.

Dear friends,

Some of you has problems with the valves on these guns. I have to confess that is my fault. The point is that I made heavier hammer in order to get more power, but left the valve rod the same diameter, 2 mm. So, when the hammer impact the valve, its inertion doesn’t allow the valve to move properly “forward and back” and the rod has too strong force and due to that force can curve.

Once again, that is my fault as the designer and engeneer of this gun. Sorry for that. I’ve ordered new 3 mm. hardened, polished rods (to tell you truth that is a kind of quest to find them, there is no one in Russia, I’ve ordered them from EU and they promissed me to deliver them in February). As soon as I have them I will make new valves and the valve guide to change in the back plug. I think that is quite easy operation which can be done by owner himself. Besides I will make a vid for that.

Sorry for that disadvantage, as you say “He is lifeless that is faultless.”

I will do my best to solve it as soon as possible.

With the best regards

Ed

Shooter I’m not saying that the Edgun .22 or even so much bashing the gun
The Edgun .22 is very accurate gun it’s the way Ed is handling this can u not read how many people on here including myself have simply asked for an update we the people who have Edgun .30 want to know what’s goin on that’s it
He just ignores us
I wrote evengy a email three days ago asking about breach oring size that’s why if h look in the Vulcan section at the top is now a lock oring size list anyways evengy not only email me back right away but emailed me again today just to ask if everything was ok that’s good customer service so if u shooter want to buy a R4 go ahead it’s your $ and if u think this is the customer service u expect then go ahead not me I want to know if something Go’s wrong I have support by the manufacturer and to be truly honest your saying everyone will still buy them it’s like your trying to let Ed off the hook their are 10 guys on here that have skin in the game we have Edgun .30 that do not shoot so thanks for helping us and sticking together and I feel you are wrong there are too many good company’s putting out good guns with great customer service
Ed has now made several mistakes and will have to earn my trust back the last 3 guns have been bad the 30 first and second gen my leyla has issues now too so who do I call it’s bummer I loved Edgun
But things change and Ed has been still ignoring this post when all we want is the update that admitted his mistake

The bottom of the regulator bushing will have to be enlarged.

You mean the valve stem bushing?

ED !!!!!!!! PLEASE GIVE US AN UPDATE PLEAAASSSSE!!!!!!!?

Doorns you’re right I am not a welfare type of person. I do feel a little responsible because I know for a fact the video I made about the R3 .30 sold guns. I am really upset that people spent 2k based on trusting my review video only to find the gun was flawed.

I do not have the skill to make parts but lucky for me I have a super good guy who is willing to help out. After I test the new system I will put everyone in contact with him and you can get yours fixed like I did. It won’t be free of course but I don’t see what choice you will have. The bottom of the regulator bushing will have to be enlarged. This is a difficult task because the axis has to be perfect. A mistake will render your regulator useless. Either way a professional will need to drill your regulator.

Keyser, I really did not think you are the wellfare worker type of person. But the fact that you took it in your hands to find a perfect fix for the .30 cal has shown me otherwise. You are doing a Ernest Rowe type of service to Edgun.

I am sorry that your love for Edgun as a comapny has ended this way, I always enjoyed your posts on how they do everything you want and even with that little bit of a x-factor.

I honestly dont want to believe that Ed would send out a product without either testing it propperly or releasing it with the knowledge that it is not reliable…

I basically ordered a .25 R3M a couple of monthes ago, but when I read about the R4 I new I would rather wait for it. Unfortunately this episode scares me.

I really don’t need any advice on being patient. It’s not helpful and typing “just be patient I’m sure Ed will take care of it” is absolutely worthless to me and the other R3 owners.

A bigger EDgun fan than me did not exist. I will never buy another Eddie. I’m not a hater I just will choose to spend my money on companies that offer post purchase support. The EDgun is all the things I said it was in my video and my prior posts however the lack of support from the maker and importer is unacceptable to me. After this is done I won’t be bashing like you see on the mutant section. I wish Ed good luck in his future endeavors. If anyone needs advice regarding EDguns I’ll still answer questions and offer my help but I will not send another check to Tony Rudenko.

I would have handled this differently. If I were the importer I would have employed someone like I did to get the gun fixed at my expense. I would have taken on the responsibility to make sure my customers were happy. That’s just how I would handle things. My reputation is more important that a few hundred dollars.

Everyone will buy R4, trust me.

I’m so glad Ed has not responded
He proves my point the Russian cocksucker thinks he can just ignore all of us than put out a R4 to bad we can’t trust it where will we get customer service for the gun who will warranty it or answer questions sure as hell not Ed

What is the difference between a smart Russian and a unicorn ?
Nothing there both fictional characters

There may be Database Connection errors. Airgun Nation is quite unstable.

Impact is too complicated. Come back to us after 2k shots.

FX Impact is just perfect and you can call it MKIII

I have shot a tin of .25 kings now and i like it alot. The trigger is really nice. I like a very clear second stage and is the best i ever felt…doesnt say much really :suprisedn:

This reminds me about FX releasing a Bobcat mk2 instead of fixing up the first one, people weren’t all too happy about that either.

I wonder when the Impact mk2 comes out? :biggrinn:

I know that it is really difficult to be patient in a given situation. However, I am sure Ed will not leave you alone. It takes him some time to react and resolve the problem. Whenever I had some questions his response was similar: ‘I will do everything to satisfy the customers’.

love this forum :8:

preach airgunwhore, and everyone else!!! id be pissed too!!!
