Q:

EDgun Matador, caliber .30, second generation.

Dear friends,

Some of you has problems with the valves on these guns. I have to confess that is my fault. The point is that I made heavier hammer in order to get more power, but left the valve rod the same diameter, 2 mm. So, when the hammer impact the valve, its inertion doesn’t allow the valve to move properly “forward and back” and the rod has too strong force and due to that force can curve.

Once again, that is my fault as the designer and engeneer of this gun. Sorry for that. I’ve ordered new 3 mm. hardened, polished rods (to tell you truth that is a kind of quest to find them, there is no one in Russia, I’ve ordered them from EU and they promissed me to deliver them in February). As soon as I have them I will make new valves and the valve guide to change in the back plug. I think that is quite easy operation which can be done by owner himself. Besides I will make a vid for that.

Sorry for that disadvantage, as you say “He is lifeless that is faultless.”

I will do my best to solve it as soon as possible.

With the best regards

Ed

Who is Tony Anuzzi?

   here you go pal

He is Walk boss! :biggrinn:

I bought three ed guns. I like the gun but his service. Good feedback helps ED to improve his gun and service, no worry about we cannot buy his gun. Good company always listen its customer. Ed’s business is running beyond his hobby he said before, he’s running an international company. So we “rare airgun lovers” deserve to have good services.

I got my .30 from Ari (Dase shop finland) back in october (4months ago). I have been in contact with him. Very professional aswell. I have adressed the issue to him. And he has assured me if ED has said he is going to sort it he will. Ed did say febuary !!!! There is another 2 weeks left in fairness. Im very confident Ed is on the case and is going to fix this like he has said.

Charlie, I appreciate your advice and solidarity in this manner. I believe that if lawyers got involved Ed would just hang Tony Rudenko out to dry and recoil back to Russia. I would hate for lawyers to be the reason we can’t buy EDguns. What I want is maybe impossible. I want Ed to be like Evgeny from Vulcan and Tony Rudenko to be like Tony Annuzzi That’s all I really want.

Be patient Keyser you only spent 2k for a broken down gun why be impatient especially since generation 1 had same issues and they have also never been repaired.? Yes give Ed a break be patient.

If simple complain is not working, consumer protection law is always there to help.

I dont think that can be applied here, Edgun is not an established company here in the US, at leats not to my knowledge.

all put out guns that had to be fixed, changed, or consumers had to employ Ernest Rowe to get the guns to work as advertised. At least with the FX Impact and Wildcat guys could send their guns back to the dealer s.

I do highly recommend this to either Edgun Company or any other brands…. that is the only way to get success for the air gun manufacturers. … otherwise they will fall down due to the nnon-existence of the customers care/services in the Big lands USA ….

Ernest is not an ordinary man… he has got a lots of experience and knowledge of solving issues as well as he has got all equipment to fix all guns… besides he is a great helpful man….

If the manufacturers will not take this guy or any other man…as a customer service back up…then i don’t see that dealers can take care of the customers. …

That’s what I have noticed too, many other Edgun owner don’t give a shit, why? because it didn’t happen to them, instead, they are talking about how great he is and how awesome are his designs, not the .30s for sure!!!! I wish The Vulcan comes in .30cal but unfortunately it doesn’t, I’m not a big fun of the Flex, the RAW is a beautiful, accurate rifle and I know the customer service is A1, but I’m already used to the compact and light bull pup platform, not to many options, I might just give the Impact a try, I won’t change any barrels and just keep the .30cal to avoid any possible change on my POI. Will see. I really hopping Brian’s machinist guy can fix this problem. :8:

It would be great if most of the messages in this thread had useful information. I keep checking the updates thinking it won’t be a waste of time.

This a good example of why most manufacturers don’t participate in online forums. Ed started this thread to tell customers that he recognized there was a problem and that he would look for a fix. It has turned into a platform for trolling and whining, and the signal to noise ratio is approaching zero.

These are the types of post that have lead to terrible customer service. I suppose (using your logic) that all a doctor has to do is admit you have cancer. No treatment plan is necessary, just a “I’m sorry you have cancer” and you’d be happy?

These anger posts are productive. They are a window into an angry bunch of airgunners who are tired of manufactures using consumers as full retail beta testers. How many companies have to screw up before some people stop making excuses? The list of mistake makers is like the who’s who of airgun manufactures. Let’s look at the last 3 years of “new releases”; Kalibrgun- Colibri, EDgun- R3 .30 gen 1, EDgun gen2 R3 .30, FX Bobcat, FX Wildcat, and FX Impact all put out guns that had to be fixed, changed, or consumers had to employ Ernest Rowe to get the guns to work as advertised. At least with the FX Impact and Wildcat guys could send their guns back to the dealer (and you guys know I am not a fan of AoA). I remember a time not too long ago where this kind of ranting and complaining was censored. I remember a time where if a guy got a gun that was broken and he complained said person was banned and his postings removed. Is that what you want to go back to? Ed may not care but I can honestly say that if I was a new potential buyer of an EDgun postings like this would cause me to pause. That is the only way we will ever get the kind of service we deserve, after all we are buying BB guns for $2000 dollars, we should be treated like a rare commodity because we are rare.

In closing we consumers should stick together and support each other. There is no way we will ever effect change in this industry as long as we have Pinkertons coming on and trying to bully people into censoring themselves.

Wait 2 years   I want useful information too that’s why I’ve been asking Ed to update us chime in but he will not he’s on the board now
How much does it cost to type few sentences
