EDIT: This was not a gun problem after all… It was a problem with my adjustable magnification scopes… All 3 scope (Leapers 8-32X56, Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50X60, and Leapers 4-12X40) were losing their zero and shifting the Point Of Impact every time I moved the magnification adjustment wheel from the lowest setting to the highest setting and back again to the lowest setting…
Eduard, here are some 65yd groups I shot this morning…. It seems that
sometimes it is a laser shooting 3-5 shots on top of each other and then shots
start to fly everywhere… I cleaned the barrel very carefully and shot some 100
shots before shooting these groups… The wind was absolutely zero… My
Combro is on the blink so I could not get any FPS information…. This gun has
well over 10,000 rounds through it. It does not make a difference what
the psi is in the gun and I removed the shroud/mod to make sure it was not
causing any problems. (See group on bottom left that says “No mod”)
I also pulled out my Rapid to make sure that it was not the conditions.. The
Rapid shot a 10 shot sub 1″ group at 80yds. The EDgun shot 2 sub 3″
groups so I know it was not the wind nor the shooter causing the wild
flyers…. I ordered a new Chrony this morning so I should have FPS info
next week….

Mam, I’m still thinking it is your scope. Worst scenario…the regulator?
If the prior, then I have a thought… Your wrestlings with the shroud has me thinking… Check that the o-ring on the inside of the shroud is in good condition. Do you know what I’m speaking of? It’s on the breech end of the shroud. On my gun, it fits snugly on the barrel and is lubricated.
As for pellet-pushing barrel resistance… When I clean my gun with patches there is considerably more resistance at the muzzle than there is in the rest of the barrel (with the exception of the entry point at the breech). I assumed this meant the barrel was choked. I have never pushed a pellet through, however, so I that is the best reference I can draw upon.
Yep, checked the Oring inside the shroud…. There is no movement back
there when the shroud is on…
I have choke like resistance in 4 places through the bore….

Of course the barrel is choked! So usually it does not matter how the pellet goes along the barrel it is supposed to be stabilized at the last 20 mm of the barrel. I would wait for the chrony tests and then made a decision what could go on. Meanwhile check not only the hammer but also the spring of the hammer and the rod where the spring is setting around. If the rod has a little curve, it can push the spring to the inside side of the hammer regulator, the spring will be scratching on it and the speed and the way of valve work can change.

I dug the, breech/breach end pushed pellets, out of the trash and gave it a
try with a magnifying glass synopsys…. Camera just ain’t got it or I don’t
know how to use it… 😳

Mam, try slugging your rifle. Push a pellet through with a rod. You should feel equal resistance all the way through (though this is often not the case). And make sure you push from the breech to the muzzle. I’m just guessing here.
