The Airforce Bottle Regulator is here!
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am pleased to announce that the Airforce bottle regulator is complete and I have the distinct honor to offer them for sale.
They have the M18 x 1.5 threadpitch for the Airforce bottle on one end and the .875-20UNEF threads for the E-TaCREG on the other.
The length and diameter are identical to the other JDS Airman regs.
I will be stocking them here at E-TaC central. The cost is $90 shipped, same as the E-TaCREG. CONUS shipping is included.
You can choose your output pressure from 1200-2500psi.
Here is a picture.

I have to get my tank filled (AGAAIN!!!) and I’ll get a shot count number for the 2000psi output.
Regards,
Jim

Nice work Jim, very labor intensive and very costly with all that lead. You are an asset to the Air Force community!
I will most likely desire a reg that sends my most accurate pellet at the optimum speed. So far my barrel shoots the JSB kings and the EJ 43 grainers equally accurate. I have to do some more testing before I decide on the “Most accurate” pellet for my barrel.
Bottom line is I will have a regulated valve/tank for small game/accuracy plinking…and I will have a non regulated valve that sucks my tank inside out to shoot Jerry’s 7 and 9 rings 😈
So it is written, so let it be done 😉
Guys,
SAVAGESAM was kind enough to send me some .22 Kodiaks. Thank you soooo much Sam!!!
I had a request for the right reg to get 890fps in a .22 with Kodiaks in a 18″ barrel, so I did a quick setup today. No time for a full string.
Got 910fps from a 2k output, 18″ AFB reg. I think this is really pushing the 2k reg as the difference from 890 to 910 was quite a bit on the tophat. I think 23-2500psi output would work best if you want to get into the 900s with this setup.
Anyway, off to family time.
I’ve got the Blue Grass 100 Field Target Match at our club Sept 11-12 so this week will be very busy for me. I’ll not have much time to chat, but will be checking in as time allows.
Regards,
Jim
I am getting sub dime size groups at 40 yards in my .177 Condor and I have not done any tweaking yet.
I got my 2500 psi Etac Reg for my .22 Condor. What a great addon for the condor. Not only is it more accurate than before but the ping is all but gone when firing . I was hoping that would be the case.
So with Tony’s Shroud, Adams Wokguard 15 , wokbutt, and a good polishing to the internal trigger components I have a tack driver Condor. Without the Etac my condors accuracy was good but not great. With the few added modifications to my rifle I can honestly say this thing is a deadly beast.
Thank you Tony, Adam and Jim. It was a really a pleasure doing business with you. You can expect to hear from me more in the future as I continue my upgrading process.
If your on the fence about any of these mods. They are all winners and together have contributed to a very accurate and powerful rifle. 😀
Sounds great. Glad you like your WokGard 15.
Throw up some picts in the GALLERY. 😀

which is the more popular .
So it is possible to have two gauges on the system , one on the regulated side. pics?
To adjust the reg pressure you don’t have to add washers, and take them away, you just rearrange them.
what do you think that 32 g. fps would be with the 2000 Reg. .22 Cal
Hey PB,
The 2000 is the most popular for the .22 crowd.
Yes, it is possible to mount a gauge on the low pressure side. I’ll have to get a picture for you.
You may or may not have to add washers to change the pressure. You may get lucky and just be able to rearrange them. But maybe not.
I only have the JSB 25.4 in .22. I’ll shoot a string of them when I get more air and let you know the velocity. Don’t have any 32g .22 pellets.

Thank’s M M , I will try and make up my mind about the 2 systems,
which is the more popular .

This is how I test the regs on my mule. The only problem is gauge availability. I’m not sure exactly what the thread spec is, I measure .370-24. The only gauge I can find to fit is a Pony Bottle. Most dive shops will have one or two, they are pricey, too.
Changing the reg pressure is a matter of re-stacking the washers and shims. Unfortunately there is no exact science to it other than washers stacked aligned will give you more force, washers stacked opposite will give you more travel.
i am going to have to tape a block of wood or something on the butt of my rifle and see if the added length will be functional for me.
Yes, you can check the regs pressure this way. But you need to crack the AF valve so it fills into your scuba tank’s gauge. OOOPS just reread what you are trying to do. Opening the scuba tank valve and pressurizing the AF valve will indeed open the AF valve when the pressure exceeds the regulated air pressure. Won’t be terribly accurate, but will work. I recommend replacing the low pressure bust disk with a gauge.
The length of pull is long, no doubt, but certainly not prohibitively so.

Jim
I guess i am just going to have to get one of these, but i cant make up my mind about using the air force bottle or the bigger one.
I think that the velocity could be turned down to what ever you want , but you would be limited in peak velocity. for a given pellet weight.
I want to be able to shoot from 14 grain to 32 grain pellets in 22 cal. but most of my shooting will be 14 to 21 grain, with very little of the 28 to 32 grain shooting.
Looks like the 2000 fps reg was perfect for the 15.8 jsb’s , 970 is where i have found them to really shoot. and that would put the 18 g jsb right in the 930 or so , which would be perfect for what i have seen. and put 14 g in the 1000 range .which i think the Cabela’s hp shoot real nice.
It would be pretty cool if a guy had 2 gauges , one on the reg side and 1 on the bottle side so you could adjust the reg to fine tune for a given pellet.
Has any one changed a reg yet, i am wandering about the exact process. if it is changing the washers it shouldnt be a problem, but i would need a way to check what the reg pressure was.
COuld you hook the regulated bottle set up to a air force fill adapter, hooked to a fill tank and barely crack open the big botle valve and see what presure was in the regulated side. just like how you do with a regular air force bottle when you fill it.
i am going to have to tape a block of wood or something on the butt of my rifle and see if the added length will be functional for me.
For who of you want to replace your regulator burst disc with a low profie burst disc, you can get it here.
http://www.paintballer187.com/guerrilla-air-pro-burst-disc.htmlOK, now I’m at 2700 in the bottle so this will definitely be the last string today. I’m also out of Kodiaks, dagnabit. I screwed up and put the 1500psi reg in instead of the 1800 as requested…I think you could interpolate the results from the 2000 (846fps/19 shots) to the 1500 (799fps/35+ shots.) to get the 1800psi. Again 2700psi fill.

Hey Guys,
Had a request that I could fit in tonight with my tank going dry. This is a 2700psi fill!!!!. I got 860 from the last setup. Didn’t try to get the most out of it, left the setup I had and shot this string. Figger you could get close to 35 shots will a full fill.

I can’t say for sure, but I’m betting around 80-100fps increase.
Tony’s valve is worth every penny if you are determined to get the most out of you rig.
Jim
Look’s like Tony’s valve definitely helped out! I wonder how the 2000psi reg numbers look with the Tony valve?

Jim I know you are a busy man and seen this post on an 18″ barrel, I had talked to you about an 18″ barrel and fps looking at trying to get at least 950fps so the 2000 reg looks to me like it would fall short of the speeds I am looking for! If you get a chance see what it would take to get an 18 inch barrel to move an 18.1 gr jsb at 950fps maybe the 2200 Reg? 😆 This would be with an Airforce tank high flow valve and the Etac Reg of your choice, If not would a bigger tank be the answer? 😯 Lets Rock and Roll 😯 😯
