Q:

The Airforce Bottle Regulator is here!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am pleased to announce that the Airforce bottle regulator is complete and I have the distinct honor to offer them for sale.

They have the M18 x 1.5 threadpitch for the Airforce bottle on one end and the .875-20UNEF threads for the E-TaCREG on the other.

The length and diameter are identical to the other JDS Airman regs.

I will be stocking them here at E-TaC central. The cost is $90 shipped, same as the E-TaCREG. CONUS shipping is included.

You can choose your output pressure from 1200-2500psi.

Here is a picture.

I have to get my tank filled (AGAAIN!!!) and I’ll get a shot count number for the 2000psi output.

Regards,
Jim

I was messing with you. No need to run a string on that low of a reg, you’ll be at it all day.

The numbers look great! Cant wait to see what some of the strings look like….. but as for low velocity .177… no worries. When I get one, I’ll see what it will do!

Good point, send several. LOL

What weight pellet and what velocity do you want me to shoot the string at?

Jim

Just two? I was hoping for at least 1500 shots on a fill! 😆

Hey Don,

Don’t have a 53ci tank, sorry.

I’m currently getting velocity numbers from the AFB Reg so HPA tanks will have to wait a little.

Rob,

Sure, send me about two tins o’ pellets and I’ll get the numbers for you…OH, and send some coffee to keep me awake. LOL. You want it on your micrometer valve too? What velocity do you want?

I bet Tony’s valve will refuse to shoot them.

Jim

Jim,

920FPS for a .25 cal 24″ is not bad at all, how many shots did you get from a bottle 53ci filled 3000k psi?

Can I get a string using .177 JSB Exact Express on a 1000psi regulator? PW set to 2.5…

😛 Just kidding….

Excellent work, Jim… really some great stuff there.

Hey Sam,

I only have a 24″ .25 cal barrel, so all numbers come from it.

I have not done shot strings, only velocity for most of these. I will do specific shot strings if someone wants them, but considering the 244 different combinations, I’d go broke shooting strings for each one.

Let me know which combination you are interested in and I’ll get a shot string as time allows.

Jim

Jim on the .25 Cal. with the Kodiaks it looks like the barrel length is in between 24″ and 19″. Are you using a 22 inch barrel or are the colums off center a bit? EDIT: Also how many shots did you get “On the reg”?

RESULTS FROM TODAY’S TESTING.

This is with a stock Condor hammer and spring, and Tony’s valve.

Jim

Thanks Lurker#1.

I just got some 22 Kodiaks and JSB 18.1s so I’ll have more numbers soon.

Regards,
Jim

Edmund,

That really may be the ultimate pellet!

If you would send me some I’m sure everyone would be forever greatful.

Jim

Jim,

They’ll be there Monday 🙂 So you won’t run out of things to do next week 😆
…. .. ….. ..

SWEET JESUS!!!!!!!!!

You want to shoot those??

I’ll have to get some to try.

Jim

Jim I have some Re-Rod that looks like those pellets maybe that will work 😆

Don,

I’m going to run the 2500 numbers again with Tony’s valve.

Everything else is stock Condor.

I really need a bigger tank…I’m about out again. Dumping the AF bottle from 2k+ to change the reg kills the fill.

I did have a boner at the dive shop, they have the HUGE 4400cf 4500psi tanks there, only $50 per fill!!!! That would be 435-TIMES as much as my 109cf AirHog tank. GAWD almighty, I’d be in heaven. Schwiiiing.

Dave is right. I need more volume to push the .25s any faster. If you think of the volume needed and the flow through the valve required, you’d be down to just a few shots. At what point is enough enough?

I’m beginning to wonder if there is any satiating the .25 power appetite. I’m going to develop a double AF tank E-TACREG-OPOTOMUS, and like Eddie said…set the tophat at 9 and suck the bottle inside out.

MM

There is limited volume of regulated air that can be used for the shot, the etac reg doesnt have enough volume for high power larger calibres. If it was then the length of pull would be stupidly large.

It is a comprimise but it is working really well and making some good power

Dave

Something look a little odd here.

I have a Condor .25 with 24” barrel, high flow valve with a fill of 2500 PSI, I can move the Kodiak 31 grain @ 1060 FPS. Your number seem to be little low there. Jim, is that test based on a Talon or Condor?
