The EDgun regulator is one of the best in the world. It is straightforward and efficient. The regulator is capable of almost 1 FPS extreme spread. Wingman did an excellent video where he showed that variation is caused by external factors, not the regulator. So the Huma advantage comes from its low profile, this gives more volume in the plenum. I would put it on par with the Edgun regulator regarding efficiency
In the standard, the speed I can achieve realistically is 790 to 810 with the Huma and 34s. The long will hit about 830 max. I don’t like the current set up, and I would like to run the regulator at 120 and get speeds of 880 in the long with 34s. I have some ideas how to do it, and Wingman is going to help.
So be patient I am working on a solution to get more speed and not redline the capability of the Matador

Larry I will make them available as soon as they are ready. I will test them in the 22. I don’t have much faith in the 34 grain 22 but I am keeping an open mind. I do think maybe we will be able to push 50 foot pounds with the 25 grain pellets
This thread needed a bump!! Brian I am guessing the Huma kits will appear on your website when available? I wait patiently for the 22. cal. possibilities!

Wingman is right about twist rate…
So we need to spin this pellet up with barrel options now that we can get the velocity with the new kit. Look at that form factor. It should fly great if shot at the correct twist rate. Lets see what Wingman comes up with.

I have spoken with the powers that be about this in great depth but it seems no one is willing to invest the huge amount of time needed to help the sweater vest wearing englishman understand the basics in airgun tuning with PCPs that operate above the power of their rubber band guns that their government currently legally lets them own.
Unfortunately due to this serious lack of personal tutors and interested parties we will have to prohibit the sales of this kit to the Brits. :rofl:

I was tested in R3M this JSB 34gr beast in all speeds with standard settings regulator,and accuracy was verry bad! At 50 meters groups was ctc 100 mm etc

Ok guys I think Ive answered these questions about 50 times on emails and p/ms so here it is here too..
Will this kit fit the .30cal?
Yes but it won’t boost the .30cals power as much as it does in the .25cal.
It has a little more plenum space than Eds .30cal plenum extension so this will allow the reg to be set at lower pressures to get the same velocities (120 to 130bar). It will be much easier on valves and give you a few more shots per fill due to the gain in efficiency and air cylinder volume. Although it is very capable of pushing limits, the Matador mechanics are simply not up to running the .30cal any hotter than about 900fps for extended periods. The reg in the .30cal should not be set higher than 135bar.
NOTE: The hammer weight supplied with the power kit will only be needed on the Gen 1 .30cal as the Gen 2 has a heavier hammer fitted.
Please also note I have not done any testing with this kit in the .30cal and have no personal interest in doing so. My figures are theoretical and on the safe side of what I calculate this kit should do in .30cal but I dont want to promise something that some guns may not achieve.

I think the 34gr will be too long for the twist rate and too heavy for the limited air flow of the matador R3 design.. it is also hard to shut the bolt on. It may shoot at about 820fps max which Im not confidently anticipating will group that well at 100-200yds
A better .22 candidate pellet will be the new designed 25.34gr .22 monster at 900+fps. Thats is still 45-50 ftlbs, the equivalent to a .25cal shooting kings at 900 to 940fps
I seems that JSB have dropped the older long waist and short skirted .22 and .177 monster design and have a new redesigned pellet that resembles the shape of the 25cal 34g.. This is great news for us!
Please give us the time to test properly and all results will be posted here as we have them.
